They're handy little things. I'll often take one flashed with meshtastic to events or meetups which usually proves to be fun. I keep one on me flashed with meshcore to use with my repeater or some of the others in the area (we've been growing the coverage here).

If so, you need to use a chromium based browser and be sure the T1000 is in DFU mode by quickly connecting and disconnecting the magnetic cable twice. (Although you may be able to enter DFU mode via the web flasher at this point though I haven't tried).

Oathole! Over 2 years later I somehow returned to this 4x5 pinhole project. Stumbling on it while cleaning, I realized it wasn't far off from completion so grabbed some gaffer tape and took it across the finish line.

Buttoned up a small circuit bending project modding a cheap walkman style cassette player. Took out it's internal 2K ohm trimmer pot and replaced it with a 5K ohm fader style pot attached to the exterior.

Throwing the last few fresh Jalapenos into a ferment with the frozen Fall harvest of Apocalypse Scorpion peppers. I gave everything a rough chop before adding to the brine, but that was enough to melt my face off. Promising for the future sauce.

I've been using the same manual handheld coffee grinder every day for 4 years now, and in that time its rubbery grip has started to fall apart. I've seen folks use a Turk's head knots as grips, so I tried my hand at tying one as a replacement grinder grip. My knotting could be a bit more even, but overall it turned out well and functions great!

We enjoy using those oil-filled electric radiant space heaters in the winter, and I have one one that stopped working on the bench this evening. A common point of failure with these heaters are the little thermal cutoff switch found in series in a simple circuit. These components are cheap and easily sourced making for an easy repair.

While trying to decide what to use for an UnboundDNS blocklist on my OPNsense router I stumbled on the hagezi DNS blocklists. I'm hoping to use this as a pi-hole replacement and I settled on the "Multi PRO" list to use for this purpose. So far it has been fitting the bill nicely!

Most recipes I've seen for Agua Fresca de Jamaica call for steeping the hibiscus (and optionally spices) in hot water, however recently I stumbled on someone cold brewing it.
This weekend I gave it a try with a small 1L batch. I let the tea steep for about 12 hrs overnight before straining, chilling, and sweetening. The results were excellent! Smooth and clean with fewer vegetal flavors allowing the spices and citrus to come through a bit more.

Athens seems to have quite a craft beer scene. There was a small pizza and beer place near where we were staying, where I was able to step away and try a few.
I believe this one is called Uncle Emilio (Θείος Αιμίλιος) from Midnight Circus Gypsy Brewing. A 5% ABV pilsner, it's more on the malty side but with enough hop bitterness for a nice finish. A nicely balanced, easy beer.

Continuing with the Greek beer.
Mythos is another beer available about everywhere. Another light lager that again made for an easy go to. I believe they are a subsidiary of Carlsberg so definitely a mass produced offering.
Zythos VAP, yet another light lager though this one was mellow and finished very dry. This beer was a big step up and very tasty. Sadly I was only able to find this beer while on Rhodes (I believe that is where the brewery is located).

Had the opportunity to try a few Greek beers during a brief trip last month.
ΑΛΦΑ (ALFA) from Athenian Brewery could be found about everywhere.
Easy drinking light lager that quickly became a goto when I didn't know what to order.

Spent a little time this evening standing up a self hosted wallabag instance as a potential pocket replacement.
* The installation (via docker) went smoothly.
* I was able to easily connect the mobile application and sync entries. (do this before enabling 2fa)
* After generating a consumer key on Pocket I was able to import all of my Pocket saves.
I'll sit with it for a few days, but so far it looks like this may be a winner!

I'm still down a scanner, so decided to make some quick prints to share some images I made during folder week. In order to preserve the square format I shot with the Mamiya I cobbled together a simple mask with some chipboard I had laying around. Overall I'm pleased with how they turned out!

Our Pink Evening Primrose (Oenothera speciosa) has been going off the last week or so.
It's a native here in Central TX (9b), along with most of the North American prairie. It comes back for us every year and can certainly get a little aggressive, but it's easy to pull up where you don't wan't it. I appreciate it as a quick ground cover in Spring and early Summer.
