To be a profession a career must include an element of responsibility to the whole of society and to humanity in the abstract.
Software engineers have given themselves a pass on that front but now find themselves in a place where their profession is in danger of being made precarious. And working collectively is, to put it politely; not central to their skill set or education. At best, most software engineers are able to work collaboratively; but they see other software engineers as rivals rather than as fellow workers.

I'm going to go out on a limb here but if you are a lawyer working for the government and you are unwilling to put your name out in open court you should immediately withdraw the case and probably resign your position.
That judges are allowing government lawyers to hide their name and preemptively escape accountability for their actions and the governments claims is a corruption.
You cannot be a legitimate officer of the court if you are unwilling to be held to account for your actions as a lawyer and attempting to do so undermines the legitimacy of the court and of the rule of law.

it's hard to overstate how much I appreciate the clarity of thought you maintain in the face of the torrent of hype surrounding the topic of LLMs.
