I hold a similar attitude, and have not been on an airplane since 2015.
I just wanted to let you know that some of the myths about America are real. People do get shot over the most stupid shit here. It's not uncommon for traffic annoyance to lead to gunplay here; and I occasionally need to remind myself that we are deeply disturbed as a country.

they manage tracking sanctioned entities and put out blacklists of sanctioned entities used by banks and other financial institutions.
This is basically saying that if you got your aid provisioning blessed by OFAC you are in the clear.

part of why capitalism does what it does is that it is out of balance, there is no such thing as too much profit; so the overall system concentrates as many resources as possible to the goal of profit at the expense of stability.
And coupled with profit as an imbalance is the ability to deny costs as externalities.
So what mechanisms are needed to bring this system into a homeostatic relationship with itself; where there are no destructive externalities and where profit is not concentrated to damaging levels ?
