RE: https://mstdn.social/@sodslawyer/116995972669012468
In context, this was the thought that was sat in my head on waking up this morning. No conscious effort whatsoever.

Wow! I’ve only read a bit, but enough to get a sense of it all. Thanks for posting the link, I may come back to it to read more.

Sure. Things get embellished if not downright distorted over time, as much according to the requirements of the audience as to the intentions of the teller.

Whatever the case, I would have been far more sensitive if it was a personal loss...

I mean, I’m not sure about saying this, but maybe the lack of balcony was the problem 😬

Just paid for a month's worth of services from the council for the whole of April! Can't wait to see what I get!

Just searched for Massaman Potato Substitute and well there's a band name for the taking.

Shocking language from The Kids. Am sat in a bus station and just heard one call another a sausage. In reply, he was called a wet wipe.

Classic combination - a point worth considering (regarding language), with absolute bait (the nonsense that is the rest of it).

But the fesser included both. They didn't say which one(s) they are. Or, if I'm missing something, can you point out the bit where they make it clear they're *not* a parent?

2025-12-19 08:23:27 UTC

- reply

The fesser did say 'have or work with kids' so your situation is very much included in what they said.

Did a squiggle drawing earlier to see what, if anything, would emerge from it.
Turned out that *this* emerged from it.

I saw this little boy for the last time yesterday. He's not been at all well over the last couple of days and he's making his last journey to the vets now. Bless his soul.

Yes the physio exercises have been a god(or none)send. I walked 10 miles last Saturday and no ill-effects - which was amazing given that I was only a couple of weeks into the exercises at that point. Cycling is looking more likely before the summer's out.
I'll be spending the day in Whitstable tomorrow with friends I've known for a very long time, looking forward to that.
Any plans yourself?

Innit. I was tempted to rage-post but it doesn't add or change anything (opinions may vary, I'm only applying that to myself).
A good weekend to you too.

Brought this pic to mind - I think it was something like a 45 min exposure, given how dark it was.

Rare for me. Generally speaking music videos subtract from my experience of the song. It's really not a common occurrence that I'll appreciate a video as much as the song, and the best ones for me - usually - are unobtrusive, serving as a visual platform for the music.

Early for New Year resolutions that I won't make anyway, but I'm considering this one:
In any given conversation about music and different songs, I'll wait for a suitable point to lean forward and say "you know that song's about heroin, don't you?" regardless of which song it is.
