On my Mint Cinnamon, ctrl+alt+up_arrow displays workspaces and ctrl+alt+down_arrow displays windows similar to alt+tab.
That is going to be VERY useful for me.

You can try a lot of distros (a variety/version of Linux) online at
https://distrosea.com
When you find one you like, put it on a USB drive and boot from that.
You may need to go into the BIOS at startup to make that work.
This will test that all your hardware works with that distro.
When you remove the USB drive and reboot you will be back in Windows with nothing changed.

Started with BT.
All the middle class hippies/alternatives/socialists/etc I knew at college borrowed money from the Bank Of Mum and Dad to buy shares.
Then sold them for pieces of silver a few days after the IPO.
You know, the one that would lead to a shareholding populace...
Just like selling the nations housing stock was going to produce a nation of house owners...

Some years ago I got persuaded by friends to go back.
SO glad I dual booted cos after a few weeks I could not understand why I allowed myself to be persuaded.
More recently i bought a second user mini-PC which came with a Windows install. It even updated to W11... I used it a few times and once again I recalled why I had stopped using it. So much waiting around for the bloody thing to do anything useful.
Once again happy to be exclusively using Linux Mint.
