Agreed, but I think this is where we differ. The trade is owning more bitcoin vs. "Seems like there are 5 data breaches a day, these exchanges are high-value targets, and I do not have the time or money to be able to afford the risk of a data breach with my SSN, ID and likeness of my face"
I don't think the tradeoff is close. You could have no or small amount of bitcoin and have less risk of the quoted above, or you could have more bitcoin and slightly more risk of the quoted above. Both seem very risky KYC situations, but one situation you have more bitcoin which seems to de-risk substantially most aspects of life. IMO

Have you tried "Theft of Fire". Fiction, i really liked it. (almost done). Good metaphors, intriguing futuristic view. Not a bitcoin book at all, but you can tell it's written by a Bitcoiner and the future has Bitcoin in it in space. Really cool.
I would also recommend Gabor Mate, "the Myth of Normal". Fuck me, that will make you think. Great read.

Get you wallet connected, I don't know how, but that is the first step. When I signed up with GetAlby they gave me a key and a wallet. Not sure how to use both, but now i can zap people.

Does anyone have any good videos, or links or documentation of how to do good NSEC management? I feel like if we are going to cross use our Nostr profiles, we require a way to easily port our NSEC's around. Do you just write them down into a password manager and copy/paste them into everything? Is there a Alby like app for the phone, or is most people just using them on desktop. Are we really that early?

Nice, good stuff. I was always curious during your episodes why you didn't advocate for Nostr more, but possibly this was because you were worried about being de-platformed?
One thing is for sure, you were not a surprising target. The rants you have on your show constantly saying "working for money they can just print" is exactly why you were de-platformed... and good on you for saying those things.
I thought it was to be expected. Much like when the dems sought miners information in the USA (which was a broad overreach) I was surprised by the general surprise of the community. While scary, this is expected, no? Won't there be more of this? I think it was @npub1h8n…rpev who was saying the fight so far has been very easy.

What I mean by restrictive, is now I require Alby if I want to use my Nostr profile. So in the future if Alby restricts my use, or becomes a different company with different values (I don't expect this, but anything is possible) then my profile is stuck with Alby. Also, I'm sure I'm doing something wrong but I can't install Alby onto my phone so I can only use the desktop portion. I tried an extension with my brave browser and looked into the app store and there is no app.

nostr.com does not explain how to get a NPUB. There is a portion that recommends using a client, but skips over the actual getting the NPUB part, and doesn't scrape getting a LNURL. Any tips? I got mine from getalby, but they are now invite only and frankly, I would rather have my own and not have it linked to a product.
