@npub1fe4…ucu6 I'm afraid the spare Cadian I've got from the box you sent me (And several spare bits) are being sacrificed to the Plague god as zombies/cultits for a Nurgle warband for Firefight (alongside Wargames Atlantic Zombies+agents bits a pal sent me)
Played my first Firefight game vs someone else yesterday. Its really fun and was easier than KT to introduce to my friends who are new to wargames :)

Really cheeky question. Does anyone have any unused warhammer or similar minis in their attic or cupboards that I could have?
Painting is doing great for my mental health but I have no money to buy miniatures or similar with.

My favourite two origins of AI/Early AI in scifi are Lumpy, from the @npub1fdr…lvhs 2008 short story "Pester Power" which is a learning algorithm based around pretending to be human in chat rooms.
and (without spoilers) the KGB AI in the opening part of Accelerando by @npub1dnd…hzjs .

2025-12-18 20:23:24 UTC

Editing/writing a conversation between Will and Oak, an AI in Cold Morning and I maintain that in this world of 2218, with some true AI in it, I doubt if it has much, if anything to do with the current bubble for LLMs. Maybe the concepts of LLMS but we're so far from actual AI

or just do head swap

Hmm. I've got 8 of these off brand ratlings. Kinda wish I'd just saved up for a box rather than getting them with a magazine.
Do I get 4 more so I have enough to make a ratling Kill Team.

2024-12-19 15:46:02 UTC

UK folks. The latest issue of Miniature Wargames has 5 of Wargames Atlantics entirely not Ratling Snipers . The whole thing is £7. And Atlantic has a box of 20 for £28 if you want an alternative to the new Ratling Kill team

I've got some AOS Orruk Kruelboys I got secondhand a whileback been gluing a few 40k bits to them and so on to use as NPCs in Kill Team.
Do I paint them as Orks? or given they dont look at all like 40k Orks. I was thinking of painting their skin in human tones and having them represent mutants?

2024-10-20 18:23:28 UTC

Hmm. Do I buy the new Kill Team rulebook
Or
The New Kill Team starter set?
I do already have several kill teams. But I really like the minis and scenery with the starter set
