Been doing music for a while (like I started playing the music in my head around 1961-2). Recently I've gotten into making #ambient, #EDM, #Funk and [#Electronicmusic;](https://calckeymusic.social/tags/Electronicmusic; ) listen to just about everything for inspiration. My iTunes library is over 25,000 tracks. I also dabble in #photography. #musician #artist #musicproducer

I’ve decided, that in spite of this being a relatively new account, that having a stable platform outweighs the newness of this instance. And a big plus is that posts are, relatively unlimited. 3,000 characters to be clear. So I don’t have to watch myself when constructing posts. Kinda like WordPress.

Great article. Especially liked this observation towards the end:
Getting the apps is hard, but there's an army of technologists who are ready for more, after decades of doing fake startups for a Big Tech company to "acqui-hire" and/or toiling to improve ad click-throughs. These people yearn to follow Steve Jobs's injunction to "make a dent in the universe" and they are being chased out of Silicon Valley by ICE chuds who want to send them to Salvadoran slave-labor camps.

The fediverse continues to disappoint. I figured I would expand my reach by following a few people. 12 of the accepted my follow. But only two followed back. Some airheads on this platform say corporate social media doesn’t have the engagement of the fediverse. I say bullshit. If I followed people on IG, half wouuld follow back, not the anemic 16% on the fediverse. And the people I followed are supposedly fellow musicians. #musiciansofmastodon #musician #musicians

Re #introduction here. I’ve been a fediverse denizen for going on 2 years and I still have a pitifully small number of followers. I’m a musician whose latest re-creation has been as a synthesizer freak. I do a few different kinds of electronic music: ambient, funk, “edm” and other kinds of electronica.
