A brilliant coder would understand the implications of data collected across time and that using different coding and entry methods may well have been used as the database evolved.
A brilliant coder would know thousands of records created before computer-based data became the norm exist only on paper and were never transferred in their entirety to the computer-based system.

A brilliant coder would understand they need to find user notes describing the intent and purpose of field content and that often times key words don't match a layman's definition. For example, diverse might describe collecting multiple samples from different geographic areas. Equity might describe ownership in a company. Inclusion might describe the data set can be accessed by everyone in a certain division.

A brilliant coder would back up the data before they alter or delete it so they could restore it if, for example, they decided they needed names and contact info for people in the deleted section.
A brilliant coder would understand many databases are multi-relational...meaning the current set your looking at might describe someone as a probation al employee, but it may very well link to another database showing they had decades of employment with the agency.

I have just paid for a monthly subscription to Mapquest. I have deleted both my Google Maps and Google Earth apps. If Mapquest changes over to Gulf of America I will delete my account with them as well. If anyone knows of a good electronic map capable of showing traffic volume and providing solid navigation, please let me know.

I read in Heather Cox Richardson's Letters from America this morning Republican representatives are willing to give President Trump free reign because they believe the courts will strike down anything he does that is unconstitutional. That is an abdication of their authority and one of the purposes for which they were elected. As a Congressional representative, it doesn't matter which party you represent, stand up and do your job.

I am sitting here holding our nine year old at the end of his life bunny. I am hoping he passes before I have to leave the house, put him down, and leave him alone. On the other hand, people have told me small animals like this usually hide when the time comes. He has definitely been hiding. Perhaps holding him is comforting to me and not to him. I see the NYT has finally reported on the executive branch power grab and the very real possibility it will simple ignore cease and dismiss orders from the judicial system. I agree. That's why I was wondering if it was performance art. Her body language is of being submissive and terrified. But if she was used to feeling that way, she would have hidden it to prevent getting punished later. She might have seemed passive, but not terrified. For the record, I work for an organization with a grant funded by the USDA. We applied for reimbursement of funds expended from December 1 thru January 31 on Thursday. We were told all approval for reimbursements are on hold until "clarifying instructions" have been received.

It’s quite possible your state portal was down. NBC reported all 50 states were down. I saw announcements straight from the source that CO, IL, and PA were down. It looks like all federal portals were turned back on after the judge’s order to delay Trump’s EO until Monday…which would have been late afternoon EST.
