Playing with OpenClaw and Qwen-Coder-Next on Mac Studio (M2, 64GB RAM). So far, it’s a bit disappointing compared to Claude. But I am hopeful that in 1-2 years the open source models will be good enough that it is reasonable to run my own model and not feel like I’m losing out compared to the paid ones.

Two steps forward, one step back. I first set up a Mac Mini and that was going okay after I figured out my LLM fallback (was hitting rate limits with Claude), but then I noticed I spent $100-150 over the weekend so I decided that was not the way forward.

He just created a plan for a feature and is proceeding to tackle it in Ralph Mode with the goal of creating a PR for me to review in the morning when I wake up.
Kwen is not as good as Claude so far, but with Ralph mode, it shouldn’t matter too much.
Supposedly this Qwen model is close to Claude Sonnet 4.5 in terms of coding ability.
Either way, I’m pretty sure agents with local LLMs are the future.
Now I’m thinking about buying a kitted out Mac Studio… 🤩

Thanks. 😊 I used to just water but it was always rough for me around day two. Like my muscles would start to cramp. This time feels better. I’ve done lots of low carb/intermittent fasting over the last few years. So, I believe my metabolism is pretty well fat adapted.

I’m 2 days into a 3 day water-only fast.
I’m using some electrolytes which is helping a lot. Feeling quite good. My brain is very, very alert.

You dodged the entire point. I was trying to show you that you don’t know who will or will not be saved. Going around shunning sinners is not what Christ did. This doesn’t mean that we should condone sin or tell people that they are fine as they are. We should try to reach them with the life changing gospel of Jesus. This is what Christ told us to do, to proclaim the gospel (the good news) that God became man, lived a perfect life, and then died a criminals death, taking our place. This free gift is available to all men. If you walk around “hating sinners” you have missed the gospel and I fear for your soul. Paul was “chief among sinners” and murdered Christians and yet God chose him to write ~25% (by word count) of the New Testament.

This is not a proposal to reorg because a block includes a transaction with an address on an OFAC list.
It is referring to non-financial content stored in the OP_RETURN that is clearly illegal and has no place being stored in Bitcoin (like CSAM) and could be used as a lever to try to destroy Bitcoin and make it illegal in many jurisdictions to run a node.
For Bitcoin to continue to function as money, it does not need to operate as a CDN. The blurring of the lines on this point is at the root of the problem.
I will happily run a Bitcoin node(s) and store and relay “illegal” monetary transactions. I’m sure the Knots camp will stand shoulder to shoulder with you in that. Why increase the nation-state attack surface by allowing non-financial arbitrary data storage and relay that is not needed for Bitcoin to operate as money?

I’m blessed to have the resources for my wife to stay at home with our son. She doesn’t work and never will, Lord willing. She handles the domestic affairs, cooks me amazing meals and so on and I focus on providing. Division of labor is quite a good thing. Beyond that, if you can afford to hire any domestic help, that can also free up time for more productive things. I grew up doing chores and cleaning the house every Saturday, and I think that as a child, that was a useful thing to learn. But now it is silly to clean my house if I can pay someone a fraction of one hour of my hourly income rate to clean for an entire day. Not sure if that is what you are asking about, but there you go.

It is conjecture for both of us. You are assuming it won’t be a legal problem and Luke and others are saying it very well could be.
The wise course of action would be to do all in our power to stop non-monetary usage of the blockchain instead of rolling out the red carpet to this sort of thing.
Just because no one has been prosecuted doesn’t mean it can’t happen. Why take the risk when there is no good argument for Bitcoin to be used in this way to begin with?

There is plausible deniability if you have to pull together chunks of data that were crammed into odd places (like public keys, or what not). But encouraging contiguous data storage in OP_RETURN makes this attack vector much easier for law enforcement to prosecute. It’s rolling out a welcome mat to garbage and worse.

Yes, of course. References in the New Testament clearly show this as living Christians going to receive prayer from other living Christians. But to claim this includes those who have died is a big stretch, especially when scripture commands us not to consult the dead and there are no examples of this practice anywhere in Scripture.
