Might not be worth alot now, but if it goes to $100mil...
Its not like an atm or bank account where your picture will be sent to law enforcement, and there is no bank to return your transaction so the risk off is different. HOWEVER, a good security system and plenty home artillery in a state that doesn't penalize you for shooting someone in the face for causing you to "feel treatened" are great deterents lol. I suspect the pickings would be significantly better in countries that have already confiscated guns.

Any news on this? What implications would this have on privacy features of liquid. I'd imagine that the implementation would be nicer and more user friendly than Garnet's monero implementation, however I would be worried about privacy. While liquid hides transaction amount and asset type, it wouldnt hide the address the funds are sent to and that can be tracked up until you cash out or push to onchain.

Garnet "zaps" Monero seemlessly. You see the balance incoming and simply wait for the confirmations. Liquid would be even quicker and will have none of the failed transaction issues that we deal with in lightning.

I feel like Liquid network would be a good direction to consider first before jumping on the fedi wagon. Both are federated models, one is your friends with similar experience to you in lightning node management, the other is federated by a whole bunch of companies whose business plan revolves around bitcoins success amd have been successfully doing this for a while.

It's my opinion that anything above and beyond my previous comment is believing propaganda. The war is on grounds of whose team owns what land. It's long past an argument of justice or property and neither side is willing to exist while the other breathes. Any empathy within their ranks for the other is met with crimes of treason. The people are forced to chose sides and no side is guiltless. The peoples themselves can't be seen as totally voluntary in their decisions or actions as they are programmed to wage war against a people they see as inferior to them. Reddit isn't free if it forces you to compromise your privacy protocol. I suspect, however, it would still work with Tor set to obfs or snowflake as they arent public relays, unless they choose to block tor outright.
