I have always felt uneasy about #sewing with real silk because so many silkworms have to die a horrible death in the process, often killed with hot air or alcohol. I may not be a vegan but I still draw the line there. However, I have just learned about tussar silk made from used cocoons of wild silkworms that turned into butterflies so it's ethical and natural silk, and you can buy it online from India, and it's sustainable and eco friendly.

A question
I am #sewing a shirt and I have the front panels. On the first photo the right panel's print isn't matched to the left panel, so I ordered more fabric and made another right panel (second photo). The print is now matching but I think the colour of the fabric is off. My colour perception isn't excellent but it seems like the colour isn't the same. Can you please help me out? Is the colour off on the second photo, or is it just me?

@nprofile…wwlr it's normal to be aware pf every little imperfection in something you've made yourself. You are a sewer so I am sure you know what I mean. But when other people look or taste your work, they see the whole thing, not just the imperfections.
According to my neighbour, the baguettes are perfect, although I massively disagree.

Baguettes are in the oven and I am pacing. I have to share with the neighbours bc it'd be too much for me and you have to eat them fresh, so I had to prearrange a collection with the neighbours before they leave for work, so no pressure at all! Why are my hands shaking more than usual? I can barely hold the phone. Can you tell it's my first time?

@nprofile…m8jv I have a reading pile too, as well as a virtual one in my tablet. So yeah, I've never called it a tradition but it looks like this is what happens whenever I have time during winter holidays and it's my most favourite thing to do. This time I am actually listening to an audio book, which I am enjoying so much, I don't even care if I finish it too quickly.

I've been #sewing for a couple of years but today is the first time I am wearing something I've made outside the house. Irl I am an introvert but this feels like wearing a different persona. The heads are turning and I like it. I guess, I wanted this.

It was very hot last night and I couldn't sleep for a while. The last thought before falling asleep: someone could make a lot of money by inventing a kind of electric blanket that stayed cool, just like a pillow that you have just turned over.

I have never considered, how many #words and expressions that we use to describe #food are also used to describe personality!
I recently came across a chilly in a takeaway which had the same name as one of my friends, so I texted her about it and was asked to later describe the taste of it. And here is where you have to be very careful talking to a person with the same name as a dish, when you describe it as nutty, fruity with a bitter aftertaste, leaving you gasping for air.
