Word5 installed as a PWA seems to have a bug on Android (Brave). It's really hard the keyboard keys from X through N. There is only a sliver that works.
No idea who to submit bugs to. Also needs Amber support!

Mesh node upgrade and charge day. Took the one down off the tower, it's been up there all winter and is still in good shape.
Found these little flat plug USB-C cables that work really well in the RAK solar boxes; no need to pull the board out to charge/flash the units. (Bad design, port should face into the open box...)
Going to put two of the large solar boxes back up the tower. One with #Meshtastic and the other #MeshCore .

A transparent base layer is needed to make sure the system is accurate. If you can't account for it... then how do you know it exists or that you're not just getting IOUs? I like lightning because it's actual bitcoin tied up in a channel. It's not some "just trust me bro" system.
Self-hosting lightning right now. It's not that hard if you're just doing personal payments. Being a routing node is another chore. Things will get easier as we go, as far as ease of use.
Sounds like you've heard a lot of fear mongering but without actual evidence? Do more research, the truth will reveal itself.
Core already handed us a mess that's screwing node operators right now. Most people don't run nodes or run miners at home... so a lot of people have no clue how bitcoin works as a full system. Being able to run a node on basic hardware is important! Not everyone lives in a "first-world" bubble where computers are cheap. Years down the road it's going to be worse.
Either it's a monetary network or it's not. It's OK to tell people to go build elsewhere if they want to play with pictures and try and to work around long standing rules. Vitalik and many others got told to go play elsewhere.
Have you been watching the work Matthew Kratter has been doing trying and explain it all?
Bad things will always happen if people aren't vigilant or don't know/forget WHY they do something in the first place. First principles are important.

Yeah, so they can greet me "plesently" and then act like they don't give a care a second later. They're not saying "hi" because it's friendly, but because they're forced to. Meanwhile I'm left wondering if I did something wrong when saying hello and then getting cold shouldered. Great for customer service.
Took me a bit to realize it's not me. It's the people at the till not giving a care about what they do and having no ownership in their job.
I'd rather check myself out. I'm better at it anyway.

I really like that this is coming up. Verifying software is a painful process and a lot of people don't even know what you're talking about when they get asked. I'm barely able too. Even found the process annoying trying to check APKs with appverifier because the apk hash isn't always available...
I've been trying to figure out how the NixOS (nixpkgs) works because I want to try helping with maintaining some software packages... and I wanted to know if the software I used was checking the devs signing correctly. At this point I just feel more confused than informed.

I get where you're coming from. but it's when migrants don't share the same views as Americans, then it's an issue too. Those who go through the proper channels are more likely to understand the idea of America, share similar views and be willing to work for their place in it. As an interesting bonus they get tests that most Americans would do poorly on.

Thanks. Tried on mobile to see what it does and it loads the video sideways for some reason. When you full screen it goes landscape, but loses the buttons. Screen controls work for movement, but I couldn't find a way to shoot. (Not expecting that this part is fully built out at this point)

Off the top of my head. An open ledger keeps all parties honest. Allows a hard limit to be verified. If the base layer can't be verified then the system can be rigged. Privacy can be built in other layers.
