This arrest only makes sense in terms of destroying an avenue for dissent and free speech. That's the only logical reason. If authorities in the EU cared about stopping terrorism and child pron, they would use Telegram as a tool to infiltrate groups doing it to arrest the perpetrators. The fact that they are doing this is actually evidence that they specifically DON'T care about stopping terrorism and child pron. I agree about Trump, but I'm more concerned about the conditions that made Trump possible than Trump himself:
The Democratic Party has sold out the working class in favor of giant corporations. They've been breathlessly pro-war since Obama flipped from the anti-war platform he campaigned on. They've attacked free speech relentlessly since 2014. They became bodily autonomy hypocrites with injection mandates. They scream about democracy, but rig their own primaries and work diligently to get third parties knocked off ballots. To me, Trump is a problem that is a reaction to a systemic problem.
None of this is to say Republicans or Trump are particularly better on most of these issues. If they are, it is a matter of opportunism. But it's undeniable that the Democrats have drifted far away from being representative of the working class.

My understanding of the legislation is that it only effects transactions to and from "hosted" wallets, ie. exchanges. So what it is essentially trying to do is put KYC on off/on ramps to the Euro. I don't see anything in the legislation that shows enforcement against transactions between two non-custodial wallets.
I'm not trying to minimize what's happening in the EU... it's an authoritarian disaster and it will only get worse. Just trying to be accurate. Please correct me if I'm analyzing this wrong. Here is the actual legislation if you want to go through it:

I saw that you tried to set up your lighting wallet with @npub12vk…pugg and had an issue with verification. That's odd. Did you get sent an email to the one you provided to Primal? A resource to check would be the timeline of @npub16c0…6nvr, the CEO of primal. Maybe he can even point you to someone who can help.
There are also other wallets you can use. Phoenix is a good non-custodial lighting wallet app you can find on your mobile device and then you just have to put your lightning addy in your settings. But if you can get primal working, it's probably a little less complicated for now.
To get your "verification" blue check mark (NIP-05), the easiest way may be to use the check mark hosting sight by @npub18am…p424 at https://nostrplebs.com/. If you own your own domain name, you can use that but it takes a little work to make it happen. Ross is an amazing resource (and person) so you should definitely follow him if you don't.
