By post size, you mean how it extends from side to side?
If so, then we are gonna adopt the official app's way soon-ish (as soon as I can get the Moshidon code ported to a newer release of Mastodon for Android)

There are some good reasons, mainly that I am still lacking in experience, and the scope of the projects is different, so I believe it's better that Moshidon can be its own thing outside of the Mastodon governance (and because I sometimes mismanage my time and I end up forgetting to do stuff)

Answering each thought:
1: It could be easily done code wise, but I still haven't managed to think of a decent UI for it
2: That's a thing from upstream we are working on at the moment in the rewrite
3: Yeah, a DMs tab is something I miss too, but I haven't yet had the willpower to make it into reality

36 files left to commit in the rewrite, and a new release (still with the old base) with a bunch of improvements will land soon (as soon as I figure out how to automate building all of the Moshidon flavors locally, that is)

Hey, so yeah, I have finally added an option to make the Moshidon text big.
This is a nightly build, which can be installed alongside the stable build.

I have found something that may have helped trigger the "Too many requests" issue for Moshidon.
I have pushed a fix a couple minutes ago, and I'd hope some of the affected people would find it useful.
This build is a nightly build, which can be installed alongside the stable build, so please try it out and tell me if anything changes.

I am porting both the Megalodon and Moshidon features to a more up to date base. Both me and @npub16yn…098f made mistakes on code management and git commits that made maintaining/rebasing a complete pain.
That pain made Megalodon stop maintaining its code, and made me start rewriting the Moshidon on top of Mastodon for Android.
Tldr: forks are complicated

I don't know if that's possible on Github, but I'd like to keep the legacy of @npub16yn…098f up as our parent app, even if not technically in the rewrite. They taught me many things about android ui design, the development workflow and how to be an open source developer. I am proud to continue it's legacy forward

Only the inapp settings. Things like your UI preferences, order of timelines, and other such things. Everything else is dealt with by the server, including your drafts.
TL;DR: you can uninstall it without worrying
