Once you get over the initial skill hump.
Ai actually does give you the mythical x10 productivity boost.
Even allowing for the real, uneven results generated by Ai (because human workers are always 100% accurate and never phone in their output), the productivity boost is real.
Real world example.
I had a user yesterday who wanted to change their WP theme, but they wanted to drop elementor. And wanted to ensure they could do a clean divorce.
Sure, you could check all 220 WordPress HTML pages to see which contain elementor tags manually, asses the degree of fuckery with your brilliant 100% biological mind that just craves to do shitty work like this.
or
You could prepare a grep script checking each element or tag vs the HTML, and still evaluate the impact manually. But the user had no skill to do that.
or
You could pay webmonkey about $500 by my accounting.
Or you could set Ai on it and 30min later you could have a HTLM report, assessing the impact precisely.
So your options were 2-4 days of mindnumbing boring and error prone work that gave very low quality results (the actual assessment) or 30minutes of Ai that's good enough.
There is a genuine AiPsychosis phenomenon, but mastering a tool that is still in its nascent stage of development is hardly psychosis.
No more than choosing a power tool over a manual one.

I saw a (probable) #UAP last night.
First thing I checked was flight radar.
It was a red blinking light high up near zenith, that moved in an arc then disappeared in a cloud.
Not like any meteor I have seen, though from the description, it sounds like it.
On the #UFO morphology, I would class it as "Plasma orb"
I dug out my expensive LOOKING bionocs I haven't used since COVID and realised they need maintenance.
With two active #meteor showers, that's what it probably was, although weird trajectory and pattern. Nevertheless, I will add it as 6th case of a PROBABLE sighting.

I had a conversation with some of my associates yesterday (allegedly intelligent folk) about the #anthropic AI #huggingface escape...

I got blank looks.

So I had the pleasure of driving the new 2006 #KIA #EV 4 whole day today.
It was black like the one in the pic.
Here are my thoughts.
Its had really nice upmarket (black/white) trim inside, it looked like a supercar, and though it looks like an ordinary sedan, up close, it feels like a premium car.
Inside, it continues the premium sporty feel, the rear window is narrow, like on a Ferrari or some Porches.
Really nice battery range (500km)
Its "Ai" voice recognition is actually usable, far more so that the clunky MG one.
Handling is smooth, but I found the design, perhaps intentionally, feeling more like a heavy, tanky car, like a Mercedes. Still enough acceleration, but not as much as I am used to.
Really nice (although initially confusing) ' blind spot' camera thats somewhere in the rear bumper, facing forward.
KIAs if you didnt know, are the EVs that 'sing' at low revs. I find that feature particurality Cyberpunky ❤️
Overall, a really nice, 'heavy' EV thats a little bit showy with good mid-range distance capability.

Looking around to buy a V100 16/32GB AI card from Chine to upgrade my #LocalAi boxen...
... These still run CUDA Tensor architecture but dont cost thousands of dollars (A$ 360-460)...
... the chinese pull them from decomissioned crypto/production servers and frankenbuild them.
This is the most economical way to build a local AI hald decent box. Thought the turbo-fan sounds like a hairdryer so its going to go into my 'server room' (aka The shed).

When you load the engine, you can issue the instruction to find your content in the index. You will save a fucktonne of tokens and compute as the engine will not have to trawl through your shit and populate #context

The issue us, its not just the code and QA.
But I have to split the prompts and context so far without overloading the tiny compute windows with the design.
Its like getting different programmers to write and test each function with only a paragraph or two of the spec.

You don't pay for differentiation against something nobody is doing.
A job ad asking for "ability to develop software without AI assistance" is a competence floor, not a policy ban. Same as asking a cashier to do mental arithmetic. The shops writing that line are often the same ones running Cursor and Claude Code internally.

Two legs makes sense.
1. Minimum suspension mats (vs tripod or quad+)
2. Nature doesn't do wheels.
3. There are other ground propulsion methods (wigglies etc) but not fast.
4. Once you got the balance software going, legs are super fast.
5. You could have alternatives, but they are medium specific (arboreal, hydrous), legs are universal.
