There are self-custodial vaults. Users are advised to only store a threshold of balance in custodial accounts. They can withdraw when counterparty risk becomes significant. We do not believe that progressive self-custody is a compromise. It’s actually more helpful for newbies who are thrown into cold storage from day one by technical retards.

2) Hot Vault PSBT signing: enables a ‘Warm Vault’ setup using an offline phone instead of a hardware device. These are all cool features borrowed from BlueWallet 💙
3) Plausible Deniability: Set two passwords leading to two different interfaces—one shows your real vaults, and the other a decoy. Handy if you're ever under pressure ($5🔧).
If you lose these passwords, no worries—your vaults can always be recovered with your seed-phrases!

⚡️ Lightning Checking Account funds are not controlled by you but by an L2 custodian service provider so you should press 'Withdraw' if you feel your balance is large enough to cause intolerable counter-party risk.
🔥The Hot Vault uses conventional #Bitcoin libraries to generate your keys but you can never trust an internet-connected phone for large amount but it is a good environment for medium-term storage, liquidation, and capsule consolidation.
❄️ The Cold Vault is the safest storage environment and doesn’t require you to trust the app, funds cannot be sent anywhere without an authorization from your hardware wallet device. Perfect for long term air-gapped storage.
