Tabulator is done! Unless there are any last-minute TestFlight bug fixes or tweaks. I also added "Compact" mode (aka "Vertical Tabs"), which is quite useful. This app is a beautifully simple and fiendishly complex design, abstracting every data source as a column of data rows.🤓

I wrote my first pixel paint app in 1992 for Atari ST. I called it "Paint". I've since got much better at naming and making apps 😅
It used VT52 text encoding to paint with coloured space characters. Looking at the UI it's obviously inspired by Deluxe Paint ST. Looks good tho!

Tabulator is not quite as feature rich as I’d like, as I’m limited by Safari/Apple SDK. I’ve removed some features that were blocked. Still very useful to manage local tabs and tab groups. It’ll be on TestFlight soon, but I’m on the fence about a proper release.

I went to an 'Italian' restaurant last night. To my surprise, they played a 10-second video loop of an AI-generated stereotypical 'blues' singer with obvious artefacts. The music was a mix of 'blues' with nonsensical lyrics that couldn’t be found online. It was an odd experience.

@nprofile…0ss7 on the website in my list of apps it shows an icon next to each. after I change the icon it continues to show an old one with no way to change it. Eventually a server side cache must expire and it updates after maybe 7 or 14 days? I guess people don't change icons very often, but I tend to during TestFlight and the path to first release. Also those icons are always given liquid glass treatment which is disabled in all my apps.

@nprofile…pk4e does it have support for image thumbnails per post? I have some feeds that are purely images so that’s why I use ReadKit on macOS and iOS. Even NetNewsWire doesn’t have such thumbnails.

The second translation of Dragonfly Catcher reflects the real meaning of the haiku. The subtlety is lost in translation (great name for a movie) but the author is a mother wondering about whether her deceased young son (said dragonfly catcher) has made it to the afterlife (because it’s more difficult for children to pass over). Attributed to Chiyo-ni but debatable. 💔
