Omg, I must be doing something wrong... I can hardly believe it. I got my comfrey as a present back then. From grandma, from the neighbour. I can't remember. I don't think anyone here would spend that much money on comfrey. It grows without much care at our latitudes.

This problem is much more complex than it seems.
IMO first of all: they (the merchants) need to realize that our monetary system is broken.
And secondly: that the separation between money and state aka #Bitcoin is the best solution we've ever had.
Only then will a Nocoin merchant be open to the Bitcoin and Lightning solution.
I have been dealing with this topic for over 2 years now. My conclusion: it is neither a technical nor a tax problem. Rather, a (still) too small part of the population (in Europe) understands the real problem. Therefore, they are not open to solutions.
Unfortunately, I don't yet have a clear idea of how to solve it.

I'm not sure, but for me as a curious and new user it was a really frustrating experience.
In our small #nostr group in Western Austria, we discussed a few weeks ago, how to get more users here. Many normal people have a very low tolerance threshold for such "teething troubles". And they have no idea how to counter this as individuals.
I first had to learn this myself.

I see it as an opportunity. And as a challenge to get both consumers and content creators (artists and entrepreneurs alike) on Nostr. At the moment, the barrier to entry still seems too high for many. Although it is far less technical than many people think. As is so often the case, knowledge and education are the key.
For my part, I have now understood how hard the agro-algo of xitter triggers me and have completely lost the desire to move on x.

Das ist das ärgste Gerücht überhaupt! Ich behaupte sogar, dass privater Straßenbau sehr lukrativ wäre.
Kleines Beispiel gefällig?
Die Silvretta Hochalpenstraße https://www.silvretta-bielerhoehe.at/de/Silvretta-Hochalpenstrasse
ist eine private Mautstraße der Illwerke. Außer ein paar wenigen Mitarbeitern, die da oben am Stausee arbeiten, MUSS da wirklich keiner hin.
FAKT: es wollen sogar eine ganze Menge Leute dahin! Egal, ob der Touristenbus 🚌 voll mit Wanderern, oder Motorradfahrern🏍🛵, Oldtimer🚙, oder andere Autofahrer🚗, die gerne Kurven fetzen. Alle kommen sie. Im Sommer am Wochenende hast Verkehr gefühlt so viel wie auf der Autobahn. Trotz der 20 €, was die Fahrt kostet.
Fun fact: ab dem Mauthäuschen ist die Straße sogar in einem guten Zustand 😉

2024 is a very sad garden year for me 😕
Normally I hardly need to buy any fruit and vegetables in the summer months, but this year the timing was so bad and there was so much rain that I only have a few nashtomatoes, raspberries and blackberries. And figs.
