An anecdote: some years before 2015, I saw a documentary on Arte on how a millionaire bought a Samsonite factory in the north of France, sold it for pieces and wrecked the lives of the workers. Some of them crossed the Atlantic to plead with him. They made it to the foot of his building in New York, a building called Trump tower, but weren't let in.
I searched for this documentary many times since, and it has vanished. I knew then that the rich pay to "curate" the web.

The media is complicit. I only heard about these conditions thanks to the ElectronicIntifada Channel, who read and commented some paragraphs of the 7 pages document issued by France and Saudi Arabia as conditions.
I believe that any journalist worth their salt has been fired or has resigned in disgust from traditional media by now. Politicians have made sure to be shielded from real questions.

Exactly! They set conditions to be the 149th or 150th country to recognize Palestine, notably that some other countries recognize Israel, that Palestine be entirely demilitarized, and ruled by the Palestinian authority.
In other words: Palestine in a gift package for Israel. The perfidy is sickening.

Natasha Lennard is spot on. Macron was asked about Gaza recently on TV and he said that what's happening is "unacceptable". Then the journalists moved on, instead of asking "Why do you accept it, then?"
They asked if it could be called a genocide, instead of asking what France is doing to prevent the risk of genocide as stated by the ICJ in January 2024.
(Any journalist capable of asking such questions has by now lost their job, anyway)

This Retailleau is far-right. Our stupid French president said once that anti-zionism is antisemitism. Smotrich is scheduled to visit Paris on Nov. 13th, to attend a gala. Yesterday, 2 French policemen were arrested by the Israeli police in a French building of Jerusalem, ahead of the visit of the Foreign minister, who then cancelled his visit. These are some pieces of the puzzle, to try to understand what is going on between France and Israel, but many are missing.

Macron's whole diplomacy is "incoherent". If we pay close attention, it was full support for Israël until the end of January and the ICJ ruling, then it was veiled support, some ineffectual calls for a cease-fire, and repression of popular movements of solidarity with Palestine.
EuroPalestine denounced him for complicity in a legal brief sent to the ICJ a few days ago. He's trying to shield himself from legal consequences, imo, trying to play both sides (as usual).

It seems to me that Netanyahu's deliberately sets impossible objectives to his wars. Completely destroy Hamas or ensure that Northern Israeli inhabitants can sleep safely in their homes is only possible in the near future if Palestine, and the Palestinian diaspora and all the people opposing Israel colonizing were wiped off the face of the Earth or jailed, which is unachievable.
