Yes, he is. And Dante wants the exact same thing, of course. He always has, and that's why he stitches up the wounds of each and every member of their gang. That's how he shows the care and devotion. Same as Alexios, he wants everyone to be alright. He'll do anything he can to help Alexios reach that goal. If you were to ask any of the gang members (who happen to be SCs in this story), they would all have the same answer as well. They care. They'll do anything to help Alexios keep them safe. Dante wants everyone to be healthy and whole. That's what matters.

Dante: One thing comes to mind for me... Why people gave a f*ck about who you loved, how you loved, or what gender you were. Never made sense to me. I was never sure why it mattered so much to people. Now, much older, I do of course know about the cruelty in the world. Hatred is an easier emotion for those kinds of assholes, I guess. Screw 'em.

Alexios usually has cartridges for his weapons, some creds (currency), keys, his communication device, and his tools: a lockpicking mechanism, small knife, etc. He's easy that way. There isn't much to carry around.

Dante chose not to answer a call one night from a number he didn't recognize. It was Noona, and she desperately needed his help. If only he'd answered, things might have turned out differently. She wasn't murdered, but she was seriously injured and found a way to escape from rival gang members. While she forgave Dante, of course, he never quite forgave himself or let it go. He hates himself for it, always will, and he wishes he could forget what happened that following morning. She was rushed to his clinic—Dante's Inferno—and he knees nearly gave out at the sight that awaited him. /He/ was the one to operate on her and he saved her life.

According to my girlfriend, for me, it's, and I quote, "Between 2 and 4 am on the night of a Blood Moon every four to eight years." 🤣
Seriously, though, it's usually nighttime. Sometimes I can sneak in some writing in the afternoons as well, if I'm lucky. I've become a creature of habit when and where it concerns my writing. I usually get my best ideas later in the day as well. It works best for me.

Junk snoops around in everybody's home or place of work, not even a gang warehouse or shop. He's subtle about it. He can't help himself. But hey, that's just how he is and we love him for it. He's silly that way. Plus, honestly, as ridiculous as it sounds, he loves learning about his friends or partners.
Dante, however, respects everyone's privacy and never peeks around in any homes or workspaces. Why bother?

Honestly, I can't. Not even in a single way. Dr. Death is a bastard who enjoys murdering entire civilizations on planets and using "the leftovers," AKA those who somehow survived, for experiments. There's nothing to relate to there. He isn't just an antagonist. He's a true villain.

#PennedPossibilities 600 — Growth: How exactly do you see your writing evolving?
(New thread for my friends here~!)
Growth is definitely the word for it. This is a good question. It's really hard to answer, though. We all grow and change as time goes on and we continue to hone our craft. One thing that I will say that is that imposter syndrome doesn't hit me anymore and it hasn't in quite some time. I guess I could say that I don't think I "suck" at writing anymore, and a younger version of me from even ten years ago would have been left gasping at that. I see my stories and writing style progressing, developing, and improving, even from things I published and let loose on the world years ago. So, that's a nice thought. I'm rather proud. I just... never really think about it.
With all of that being said, I'll leave a lovely quote down below for everyone, just because it's 100% true and we all need to thank our friends more often. They came along for the wild ride and are always there for us. This community here brought me amazing friends as well, and whenever I think about it, it just makes me want to smush everyone in a gigantic group hug.

It can mess up the hashtag for other authors who are partaking in it. They'll think that that particular number, that day of the month, is the number of the prompt. We don't go month by month or day by day here, only by the prompt numbers. It can make things confusing for the participants.

I'm currently losing my marbles with my nana as we prep for a huge Christmas Eve party tonight. It's been wild. Everything will be great, though, once it all comes together. We've never missed a beat on Christmas Eve. the food is the hardest part. We do a buffet style meal, with snacks, sandwiches, ham, potato salad, baked beans, etc. Literally the ENTIRE family comes over, about 20+ people. It's gonna be awesome, like always.

It is very dramatic. This is the jacket I have to put her in. It's a straight jacket but I prefer to call it the turtleneck — because maybe that makes it sound better? It just stops her from clawing at my face. She was sending me such a death-glare.
