Does this thing exist, and what is it called?
A microphone and a small speaker that you can attach on your body with a magnet or something, for speaking to crowds outdoors? Or just the speaker that you can connect any BT microphone to?
I've been on a few surveys and guided tours outdoors, and it's often so hard to hear the person speaking – even for me with good hearing. Surely there must be a tool for fixing this issue?

My ThinkPad T15p Gen 1 is about 5 years old, I think. I've used it with Nobara and Gnome OS, maybe another OS before that. Last week I switched to Fedora Silverblue. Since then I regularly, but not always, get a kernel panic on boot. So far I just had to reboot, and it's fine again. Today the kernel panic came after logging in, and it happened several times. I think 3 times on ostree 0 and once on 1. On the second attempt on ostree 1 I got in. But I don't like this!
Thoughts?

Fedora Silverblue. It comes with the noveau driver, which should work with my card, but I think the 580 driver is probably better, and I'm not really sure if I can install it, or if I made a mistake going for the atomic version of Fedora :S The one thing I've tried so far to install it didn't work.

Ah, yes! Haha, I was really stupid and was only thinking of a totally clean/windowless desktop. Good thing you reminded me of this very obvious way an accidental desktop scroll could happen :)
Also, you're right, the same, opposite thing should undo the action, and unfortunately scrolling in Activities does change workspaces, so that would have to change too. But that is a very logical thing, so… Hmm, I guess the people are wise, and I was wrong… :/

I see most people so far don't want this as default. I would appreciate if someone would tell me why.
In my experience all mice has some resistance on the scroll wheel, so it's highly unlikely anyone scrolls by accident. There's nothing that happens on scrolling on the desktop, and nothing to do there.
Today you can three finger scroll if you have a touchpap. But if not you have to use the keyboard or move cursor to upper left corner, then to the bottom middle to open the App list.

There seems to me to be quite a few people who criticize Gnome for making the pointer travel to open the list of installed apps very long. Yet there's a ton of extensions that makes scrolling on the desktop switch workspaces without holding Super, but none(?) that makes scrolling on the desktop open Activities. Seems strange to me. This would solve the pointer travel issue for most mice.

So, transfering my old Signal messages from my old phone to my new with the transfer feature was impossible. So now I try with making a backup on the old phone and importing it on the new instead.
I re-registered my old phone, made the backup, sent it to the new phone (thank you, #LocalSend!), re-registered my new phone, and…
Going to Settings -> Backups -> On-device backups, it just says "Open the app and tap Restore backup" Ok, but where!? What!?

Never had an issue with the flatpak on Gnome OS. Just recently switched over to Fedora Silverblue, not had an issue so far.

I've tried the transfer of messages from my old phone to the new so many times now!
It only started once, on maybe the third attempt. It got to ~2% in like 20 min, and then it stopped with some error message.
Now I've tried again 5+ times, and it won't even start. The "Searching for new Android device" spinner just keeps spinning.

Why is adding #Signal to a new PC and to a new phone such hugely different experiences?
I can just install the app on a PC, open it, log in, and get all my messages over there in an instance.
On a phone, on the other hand, I have to switch over my account, so it stops working on the first phone, and then have to go trough an extremely slow transfer of my old messages.
I understand most people only have one phone, but the difference seems weird, no? Especially the difference in message sync

Jeg vet ikke hva jeg forventet, men etter å ha installert DDG, så viser det seg altså at alt Vipps skulle gjøre var å åpne BankID-innlogginga. Hva faen? Den funker faktisk i Firefox-baserte nettlesere! Hvorfor gidder de bruke utvikler-ressurser på å helt unødvendig sjekke hvilken nettleser jeg har, istedenfor å bare sende linken til hva enn for en nettleser som er satt som standard!?!?!

Ouff, having a bad time with #Nobara. I didn't love it last time, but it worked fine for a couple of years. This time something is very wrong, and I can't even install anything. And the first thing I see, after one failed boot attempt, is that it will stop supporting my GPU very soon, which was the whole reason I chose to try this distro again! :(

So, I can open a gpx file in both OrganicMaps and CoMaps trough the file browser, by tapping the file and choosing to open it in said app. But how can I open a gpx from inside the app?
Tapping the star(s) and then selecting Import Bookmarks and Tracks and choosing a gpx file does not work. Nothing happens!

Bør være overkommelig å endre på disse!
Samtidig må målet selvsagt være at Ring 1 og innover er forbeholdt gående, syklende, folk som ruller på diverse små hjul, kollektiv (ink taxi), HC-biler, utrykningskjøretøy og arbeidsbiler. Det må man være bevisst på når man setter av masse tid og penger til omprioritering av gateareael: Ombygging må gjøres på en måte som legger tilrette for en framtid uten normale privatbiler.

Tusen takk til @npub156h…r4aw som ble med meg ut på eventyr og hjalp meg hente et møbel fra langt utenfor Ring 3 i går! Forhåpentligvis får jeg plass til det meste av vintertøyet mitt inni skuffer I år, og forhåpentligvis ser det litt mer voksent ut enn å ha dem åpent i hyller, selv om jeg har ett møbel oppå et annet møbel...?
Det betydde at jeg ikke fikk startet på beisinga i går likevel. Men nå er jeg igang! Og huff, det er slit for den stakkars ryggen min.

Every time there's a new version of #CopyQ I update it in hopes that it will have started working again now. And the answer is always no. It starts, but does not pick up anything I copy. It's been like this for a long time, across distros. I suspect it's got something to do with #Wayland? But I see Wayland mentioned in the changelog as if it works? Makes me sad, CopyQ is such an incredible tool. Is there anything similarly powerful for #Gnome? #Linux #LinuxApps

Noen som vet om et bra sted å kjøpe store pride-flagg med sånne metall-hull i hjørnene? Helst et sted hvor man støtter saken direkte også gjennom å kjøpe der. Oslopride.no har kun flaggstang-flagg I stor størrelse, ikke sånn til å henge opp med strips e.l. i hjørnene.

Altså, hvordan er dwt meningen at man skal tørke t-skjorter på tørkestativ? Jeg syns jeg er den eneste som hele tiden går rundt med en stripe over brystet eller magen fra der den har hengt, men jeg kan da ikke være den eneste som ikke bruker maskin? Må man henge med klesklyper!?

La ut en parfyme på Finn, uten å sjekke ebay-priser først, og nå er jeg redd jeg kanskje gjør en stor feil?
Gucci Pour Homme 50 ml, nesten ubrukt. La ut for 500, fikk typ 4-5 meldinger på kort tid, ba om bud. Én gikk rett opp til 1000 kr, mensdde andre ga seg der.
Så da tenkte jeg det sikkert var greit, men så sjekket jeg ebay, og der prøver folk å selge den for typ 4000...
Gjør jeg stor feil om jeg selger for 1000?

8. mars-komiteen driver jo og kaster ut sexarbeidere og transpersoner hele ride, virker det som. Finnes det ikke noen 1. mai-komité som kan kaste ut Putin-propagndister?
Det er ingen solidaritet i å overlate de invaderte til enhver stormakt som er villige til å invadere! Likevel er det overraskende mange flagg her fra Partiet For, som egentlig ser ut som en slags SV, bare at de vil slutte å støtte Ukraina, fordi de tror på Putin.
Kast dem ut.

Hvorfor setter ikke esim opp mms-innstillingene for deg? Eller om det er umulig, hvorofr sender ikke bare teleselskapet sms med innstillingene automatisk?
