This is the Krux—a project whose usefulness and promotion receive remarkably “little attention”.
Why? Largely due to the meagre profits—or outright losses—that influencers stand to make from it. Perhaps many of them are simply “shitcoiners” and supporters of Bitcoin Core. And perhaps it is the very nature of its decentralisation within the Bitcoin ecosystem that makes it unattractive to those seeking quick returns.
It is, however, a brilliant project: genuinely open-source and packed with features—perhaps even more useful than what Coldcard had to offer.
I highly recommend it, just as I do Seedsigner. ⚡

Having sparked the FUD shortly before the August soft fork—which may have reached thousands of users—due to the main announcement on 31 July, the impact is now evident.
It is visible in the mass hack of Bitcoin accounts tied to one of the most highly recommended “cold” wallets on the market (only-bitcoin).
We’re sorry about this.
Yet, this has not prevented us from enjoying a plant-based (vegan) lunch amongst some Purple Konnektiv members.

Hello @npub1302…5dad ✨,
I was looking through the details of the event you shared, and I noticed the scheduled time is: Tuesday, 23 June 2026, at 19:00.
I had a thought: how can you best welcome folks who wish to join from a different time zone?
To ensure absolute clarity and make it effortless for anyone, wherever they are in the world, to join you, I suggest enhancing the invitation with a few helpful additions:
* Anchor to Universal Time (UTC): Alongside your local time, include the UTC equivalent. For example: "19:00 (local time) / 00:00 UTC". This provides a single, universal reference point for everyone.
* Include an automatic conversion link: Add a link to free tools like timeanddate.com or worldtimebuddy.com. This way, each participant simply clicks to see the exact time on their own device, keeping the process completely effortless.
* Highlight the date change: If you are expecting participants from Europe, Asia, or Australasia, it is a lovely touch of empathy to gently note that for them, the session takes place in the early hours or the morning of the following day (Wednesday, 24 June).
* Provide key city examples: You might include a short list showing the equivalent time in three or four major cities (for instance: Mexico City, Madrid, Buenos Aires, and Tokyo) to give a quick, visual sense of the timing.
I believe these small adjustments will make the invitation wonderfully clear, professional, and welcoming for everyone. Please let me know your thoughts!
🙏🏼

Good point. The image you’ve shared shows that you’re using seven relays.
Four are more than enough (if you know which ones, remove three).
wss://nostr.wine, for example, is a paid service. This means that if you don’t have a subscription with them, you’ll likely only be able to read, but not write to the relay.
It depends on whether you have a membership with them or not—if you do, obviously don’t remove them.
But I suggest you remove: wss://nostr.wine and wss://nos.lol from the interface. These two don’t work for me when it comes to posting (read-only).
There are actually over 1,000 relays.
If you have any other questions, I’d be happy to help you sort them out. ✨

I recommend having two, three, or even four active relays (whichever you prefer) in the settings of the app you’re using.
Whenever you switch apps, it’s a good idea to check the settings—so that you’re always interacting ‘on top of’ the same ones in Nostr.
In this post, for example, you’ve used a single relay: wss//relay.damus.io ✨

I’ve put your question and comment to the AI. And this is what I got (I hope you find this useful.):
Yes — if you’re experimenting with an AI agent framework like Docker-hosted “Hermes”-style agents, you do *not* necessarily need a fully segregated machine at first. A carefully sandboxed setup on your Mac can be reasonably secure for experimentation, provided you treat the agent as potentially untrusted code.
A practical security gradient looks roughly like this:
1. Dedicated Linux machine (most isolated)
2. VM on your Mac
3. Docker/container sandbox on your Mac
4. Native install on your Mac (least safe)
For your situation, I’d strongly recommend either:
* your spare Linux machine, or
* a VM/container-first approach on macOS.
## Important reality about Docker on macOS
On macOS, Docker Desktop actually runs containers inside a lightweight Linux VM already. That gives you *more* isolation than Docker on bare-metal Linux.
However:
* containers are *not* security boundaries,
* mounting your home directory defeats much of the protection,
* and giving the agent broad filesystem/API permissions quickly erodes isolation.
So the main rule is:
> The danger is usually not “Docker itself”, but what folders, sockets, keys, browsers, APIs, and credentials you expose to the agent.
---
# A reasonably secure setup on your Mac
## Option A — safest practical workflow
### Use:
* a dedicated non-admin macOS user
* Docker or a VM
* isolated project directories
* separate API keys/accounts
This is already quite solid for most experimentation.
### Example architecture
Your Mac:
* Main user → media work
* Separate user account → AI experimentation
Inside that second account:
* Docker containers or a VM
* No access to:
* iCloud docs
* password managers
* browser sessions
* SSH keys
* crypto wallets
* work folders
This creates meaningful compartmentalisation.
---
# Better than Docker alone: lightweight VM
For stronger isolation, run:
* UTM
* OrbStack
* Parallels Desktop
Then run Hermes *inside* the VM.
Why?
Because autonomous agents are risky in ways containers don’t fully solve:
* prompt injection,
* malicious tool usage,
* exfiltration attempts,
* dependency-chain compromise,
* shell execution,
* browser automation abuse.
A VM gives cleaner boundaries.
---
# Selective access is possible — and important
Modern agent systems are actually quite usable with constrained access if you design the workflow intentionally.
The key is:
* provide *capabilities*, not full-system access.
For example:
| Capability | Safe-ish method |
| ------------------ | ---------------------------- |
| Read project files | Mount one specific directory |
| Write outputs | Separate `/workspace/output` |
| Web access | Proxy/API layer |
| Git access | Scoped token |
| Image generation | Separate API key |
| Shell commands | Restricted container user |
| Browser automation | Disposable browser profile |
This is much safer than:
* mounting `/Users/yourname`
* sharing your entire Desktop/Documents
* exposing host SSH agent
* giving Docker privileged mode
---
# What I would personally avoid
Avoid:
* `--privileged`
* mounting `/`
* mounting your home folder wholesale
* sharing your host Docker socket
* giving access to browser cookies/session storage
* exposing password managers
* giving it your real SSH keys
Especially avoid:
```bash
-v ~/:/host
```
That’s basically “please rummage through my life.”
---
# A good minimal Docker pattern
Something like:
```bash
docker run \
--rm \
-it \
--network bridge \
--memory="4g" \
--cpus="2" \
-v ~/ai-sandbox/project:/workspace \
--read-only \
my-hermes-image
```
Then selectively allow:
* one writable output folder,
* one input project folder,
* nothing else.
Run as non-root inside the container if possible.
---
# The biggest overlooked risk: credentials
The real issue is usually not filesystem escape.
It’s:
* API keys,
* browser sessions,
* SSH agents,
* cloud credentials,
* GitHub tokens.
An AI agent with:
* shell access
* browser access
* your logged-in sessions
…can often do far more damage than one that merely sees files.
Use:
* temporary API keys,
* scoped GitHub tokens,
* disposable accounts,
* separate browser profiles.
---
# How useful is an agent with restricted permissions?
Surprisingly useful.
You can still allow:
* code editing in one repo,
* image processing in one directory,
* local LLM inference,
* Git operations,
* web retrieval through a proxy,
* automation tasks.
Most productive workflows only need:
* a workspace folder,
* internet access,
* limited command execution.
Agents become risky mainly when they gain:
* unrestricted shell access,
* host filesystem access,
* browser identity,
* cloud credentials.
---
# Recommended setup for you specifically
Since your Mac is your media workstation:
## Best balance
* Use the Linux machine for high-autonomy experiments.
* Use your Mac only for:
* UI/frontend interaction,
* isolated Docker workflows,
* constrained local tools.
## On the Mac
* Create a separate macOS user.
* Run Hermes in:
* Docker,
* OrbStack,
* or a VM.
* Only mount:
* one project directory.
* Never expose:
* your main user folder,
* creative archives,
* password stores,
* crypto wallets,
* browser sessions.
That gets you to a fairly mature security posture without excessive complexity.

If you look closely at how the post begins, @npub1rfw…k3t8, the first thing cited is decentralisation—as if that were “the problem”.
From a problem-oriented perspective, the true crux should be centralisation—not decentralisation. In short, that is part of the narrative they may be trying to sell these days—even during Bitcoin + Nostr events.
On the other hand, regarding Lightning: I consider it highly serious that the very functions of this mechanism are being centralised and adapted so that the end user—through KYC—pays full tribute to the app that led them to believe, figuratively speaking, that “they are Lightning”.
I already mentioned this a couple of years ago, expressing my concern. And this is a direct result of a lack of practice in "self-custody".
The fact that developers—one app against another—attack one another is a different matter altogether. But there is already plenty of information in the protocol regarding the possible causes of such behaviour (collective reactions).

2026-06-05 06:57:01 UTC

I have just read this perspective on decentralisation, and whilst it makes a valid point about technical friction, it overlooks something fundamental.
Yes, building in decentralisation is hard. But this difficulty is not a flaw to be silenced with a “just build” mentality; it is the very evidence that we are dismantling a status quo designed to be comfortable for a select few.
The risk of this kind of messaging is that it normalises ideological surrender. Few truly grasp the actual nature of the problem behind CENTRALISATION: it is not merely an infrastructure issue, but a matter of sovereignty, control, and value extraction.
Building is necessary, but doing so without understanding the underlying philosophical battle condemns us to replicate the exact same systems, merely with new technology.

This peaceful little piglet likely fought a heartbreaking battle before ending up here. And so it goes—minute by minute, across species—as long as silence persists. The violence inflicted on the vulnerable isn’t isolated. It echoes through our actions: first consumed by the animal, then absorbed by humanity. And yes—it seeps even into Bitcoin. When we ignore the ethics beyond our screens—the suffering behind our food, our energy, our very existence—we replicate the centralized violence Bitcoin seeks to dismantle. This isn’t about guilt. It’s about seeing the whole system. Because sovereignty without empathy is empty. 😔

If you want to return to open source, here’s what I suggest:
1️⃣ Create a fork,
2️⃣ Adapt (or write) the relevant code—including HTML, JS, PHP, etc.—to suit your needs,
3️⃣ Host the project on a secure domain, ensuring it’s finally available to the public.
I hope I’ve described the procedure correctly. Above all, prioritize durability and community support. The lack of these strikes me as irresponsible behavior on the part of some developers—regardless of their reasons, they risk causing considerable harm to users.
— If anyone has further advice or corrections regarding this procedure, I’m open to feedback.

This project, driven by a dedicated, genuine, and innovative team, has been actively operating for two years under the name @npub15h9…e6sp. However, the seed began to germinate in 2015 with the support of @npub1c6d…zmx3, establishing an approach and activities focused primarily on two real estate properties (leaving the details of one of them for another time).
Following a challenging period that extended from March 2023 to October 2025 regarding one of the properties, we managed between November 2025 and late February 2026, under the management of @npub1fax…vn65, to adopt a stronger position and stabilise the project.
Currently, following two months of direct interaction and contributions towards immediate, visible, and productive renovations by the manager @npub16kn…0ngf —and under an agreement with the legitimate owner of the plot, who maintains an active presence for its continuous improvement—we have the clear objective of reactivating the circular economy with Bitcoin by no later than the end of June 2026.

Hello 👋🏼, While I understand that my recommendation isn’t entirely “sovereign,” it has helped many people out of tight spots. Consider downloading WoS (Wallet of Satoshi)—it’s straightforward to find an LN address and link it in your profile settings, regardless of the Nostr-app you’re using. This will allow you to send and receive sats without any issues. That said, transitioning to a fully sovereign and 100% self-custodial environment will ultimately provide the best experience 😉.

I found the idea behind the “drawing” to be both brilliant and highly practical 🤩. Reflecting on this, I must admit that the task of creating a ‘Floor Plan’ has been a significant part of my life. It kept me engaged from 2000 to 2022, particularly when I built my first house in La Sierra Gorda, Mexico, and even more so between 2016 and 2024, especially while working in Tulum 💪🏽.
Drawing from my experience, I decided to voluntarily share my perspective. Yesterday, I posted an initial sketch ✍️, and today I added another one in response to this thought-provoking post 😉:

If I may offer my humble opinion @npub1kwc…f3xx:
From a bird’s-eye view, the first impression is quite appealing. However, it ultimately depends on your personal preferences. If you’re seeking an environment with clean air and a community that values social awareness, then, as things currently stand, most of the properties available could be both functional and wonderful for you. That said, it’s important to keep in mind that at some point, you’ll have neighbors. They’ll start building—and while construction noise will likely pass “soon” (if all goes well), once everything is built, your new neighbor might celebrate, throw parties, or host their “delicious” weekly barbecues… So, while you chase that property dream, 😉 I’d like to suggest considering something like this (see image). 😊 It’s just a sketch, but imagination knows no bounds! 😉 Feel free to reach out if you'd like to discuss further. 🤙🏽

Thank you for the nuance and for sharing the article. I agree that institutional flows are an operational variable worth considering. However, my focus remains on the essential nature of Bitcoin: verifiable scarcity, decentralisation, and sovereignty. Everyone knows where they stand and chooses their own vantage point. I choose to walk from the certainty that 1 BTC = 1 BTC . Let's continue verifying and creating, each in our own process .

Yesterday, I spent some time watching this video. The first 35 minutes were fine. In my view: Bitcoin isn’t crypto. Whales are the ones who accumulate, not the ones who sell. From the 35-minute mark onward, the “shitcoiner” mindset inevitably came to the forefront. Beyond this point, the only relevant parts are those that pertain to Bitcoin. A shitcoiner is fundamentally confused about the nature of Bitcoin, though their biased and unethical perspective is, in a way, understandable.
For anyone undergoing therapy—whether personal or financial—this serves as one of the best examples of a choice: to remain confused and spread confusion, or to recognise the importance of fully understanding the true nature of Bitcoin. ¡Study Bitcoin!

Hello,
I am currently experiencing difficulties with the flow of the app. From the start, it is taking an unusually long time for the general login window to appear so I can log in with my profile (Nostr Login).
Once I finally manage to log in – often after several minutes when the window to enter the keys “decides” to show up – I face significant challenges even completing a simple test.
Additional Issues:
• Loading Time: Sigit (https://sigit.io/ and/or v1 https://v1.sigit.io/) is taking much longer than expected to load.
• File Exporting: When attempting to export files (whether encrypted or unencrypted), I encounter the following error: “Undefined error when exporting.”
It would be fantastic if this app were fully functional. I initially tried it on 13 January, and now that I’ve decided to use it again, I’m encountering these persistent issues.
Could you please let me know if there’s anything I can do to improve my workflow or if I might be making a mistake? I hope these problems can be resolved soon to allow for smooth interaction. The concept itself is excellent and holds great potential.
Thank you, and good luck!
