I'm creative at times (mostly sewing and embroidery), a tv/film addict, like to go to amusement parks (Efteling!) and musicals, sing always and everywhere. I also like to play (board)games

At work I mainly test apps/websites and I'm trying to learn how to program (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) with a focus on accessibility.

Have had Post Covid since 2020 which interferes with all off the above on a regular basis 🙈

we managed to turn that alarm off, it also activated every time we wanted to clean the stove and it was driving us crazy 🫣

Yup, which is fine when you're turning it on, but when you want to lower the temperature during cooking it's way too slow, so we regularly are mopping up cooking liquid on the stove 🫣

I feel this in my bones, we have a touch induction stove/oven as well. The stove is OK-ish (but you can't quickly change the temperature setting, which means more overflowing cooking pots 🫣), the oven is awful! Setting the timer on the microwave takes such an awful long time it's ridiculous 😑 I just want simple actual buttons!

It absolutely sucks.. I've had it relatively easy, I can actually still work (as long as I can rest somewhere in between). But now having to find a new job or does hit me that I can't do all the things people expect me to do..

yeah, the only thing you have to do as a Dutch person is tell the municipality you moved to your new address. Then a whole bunch of official instances get that change of address as well (think tax company, health care company etc) and whenever there's an election (whether, local, regional, national or European) you get your voter card and a list of the candidates in the mail. Everyone who turns 18 is automatically added to the list 🤷🏻‍♀️
If you can't vote on the day you can ask someone else to cast your vote for you. You can also apply to be able to vote in a different municipality (e.g. the one where you work) if that's easier on the day. I also never had to wait any longer than about 10 minutes to cast my vote because there are so many polling places.
We do have to have an official form of ID to vote though, but those are mandatory to have anyway when you're over 12 and even then they can be 5 years out of date in order for you to be able to vote.
