Today I want to restart the database server with `fast_shutdown` set to `OFF`. Reason is that the tablespace file has grown heavily during the last months. Setting this option to OFF will flush the cached data in that file.
A regular shutdown takes approx. 20 minutes. This shutdown will take significantly more time.
Maintenance mode will be enabled before the shutdown and restart.
I'll start this around 14:00 CEST / 12:00 UTC.

The system is currently deleting a very large amount of old content from the database. This will continue for another three to four days. The load on the server is therefore increased and the queue is longer than usual.

After upgrading the Linux distribution I need to upgrade/convert the database from postgresql 14 to postgresql 16.
I will stop the misskey service - do the database migration - restart the misskey service.

Linux distribution upgrade done. New version is Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS. Rebooting now. Hope everything is working. :-)

I will stop the server, create a snapshot, restart the server and then perform the release upgrade.
This will take about an hour. There will be several short interruptions during this time.

The issue with the blurred or missing profile pictures has been fixed. 🎉 🚀 ✨
Maybe you need to force-refresh (SHIFT + Reload) the page to load all profile pictures successfully. Alternatively, you may clear your browser cache.
