Since there were no northern lights last night, I went out for a trip at dawn instead. Just as it happened, I saw three bull moose standing in a meadow, grazing red clover. I stopped, rolled down the window and said hello, how beautiful you are. One of the bulls looked up and probably wondered what kind of a fool I was. I got some good pictures and then I thanked them and said goodbye and went home, happy about the nice meeting.

Too Bright
The night between 12th & 13th of August me and my sister went out to try to see some of the Perseids meteors, and yes we did see a few of them but the moon was way to bright to see any of the smaller ones. That was okey and we had a nice time. One thing that it is sad these days is that it is almost impossible to take a night sky image without having at least one satellite ruin the photos. In one of the shots I could see 6 of them. :(

Longing for the first Aurora borealis of this season, 2025/2026 and perhaps there might be one this Friday :)
This image of a corona is from a cloudy night in October 11th 2024, and my first time seing a corona. I will never forget this night, it was magical dispite the clouds. Thank god for the windy weather, if not I would probably not have seen much at all. A really happy night!!

To make a long story short, I had to go to the hospital acute on July 17th with a hell of a gallstone attack and was supposed to have emergency surgery, which unfortunately didn't happen. Hence my absence here. Finally back home, tired and still not well and quite worn out yet but it's bearable for the moment but I probably won't be able to comment much at the moment even if I see you and your work 💚

An explanation for my absence here the last few days.
An old amalgam filling cracked one of my teeth in February and has been seriously infected the last few weeks.
So on Monday I finally got an appointment to see how bad it was. I had emergency surgery on Tuesday when it couldn't be saved, so I haven't had the time or energy to check in here much as I've been in pain and have had few hours of sleep.

Childhood Memories
When I was about 11-12 years old, I subscribed to a comic magazin, The Phantom, drawn by Lee Falk. He fought against the bad guys and lived in a skull cave in the jungle, hidden behind a waterfall together with his wolf/dog, called Devil, which I loved to read.
