I learned today that GitHub is having issues with malicious repos getting promoted via their algorithm, all because of their ill-considered star system that increases a repo's rank in said algorithm. Apparently, like all things, there is a market for buying 'stars' that malicious actors can use to kickstart their algorithmic ranking and increase their chances of benign users to star and use their malware repos.
If only, GitHub just hosted repos and let users decide what is good or bad without an algorithm. Malware would still exist, sure, but at least it wouldn't be promoted so easily, like with the current system in place. ROFL I got this snippet of news from this video:

Oh good, the first patch for Stalker 2 is live and it's massive! I will wait for several more patches before deciding if S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 is right for me, though; I remember the series being a weird and quirky title from back in the day.
A world that felt alive and dangerous, random wild dogs could totally end your stalker career or a random bandit could perfectly headshot you out of the blue. Maybe once all the fixes are done, this newest imagining of the franchise will be a great point to jump in again.

I finished most of Haus, the DLC for Dead Island 2. It was a really short DLC packed with story which added some additional context for those who might have not paid too much attention during the main story. Playing Ryan because he's hot, and his abilities match with my play style: A durable tank. I started the SoLA DLC, unlocking a safe house. I will take my time with this one and explore everything!

I'm honestly worried about Bioware now...They are on my Deathwatch list because Dragon Age: Veilguard is a game which won't go down well for the fans of Dragon Age. I'm going to only buy Veilguard when it inevitably goes on sale.
I don't know if there will be a modern audience for this title either. EA might be getting their shovel ready to bury Bioware in their Game Studio graveyard.

Having seen so many live service games simply die within a year or two makes me question their choice to change Palworld's current pay to play model. Personally, if they want to chase an oversaturated style of game which will struggle, that's their choice. However, it would cause me to avoid Palworld like the plague; as free to play live service games typically have terrible monetization models.

Thank God for Stephanie Sterling, who has properly talked down to Google about their LLM plagiarizing the work of actual creatives to vomit out Doom Levels. These techbro ghouls are trying to speedrun pushing creatives out of spaces that they currently occupy. There's no safety net of worth in the USA, I worry about creatives who are already struggling. Corpo LLM Copium will lead to a bad outcome for many...

A performance or quality mode should be default without a doubt. 30 FPS cap won't stop me from playing this game, but I do wonder why they weren't able to hit 60 FPS.

Fedilab-
The UI is incredibly slick and customizable, granular for a Mastodon app. It's easy to spend a lot of time customizing the app to one's liking. From checking who favorites and boosts a post, I've found each menu to be designed cohesively. It's easy to swipe between tabs, fluid motion is all it takes to quickly navigate Fedilab Tabs.
My minor complaint was just a small issue with notifications not being marked as read. That's all, truly my dream app!
