Related thought: the pace of tech growth isn't guaranteed to exceed or even meet that of the past 125 years or so. It might not. We certainly aren't making choices that make it all that likely. Not in this country anyway.

Usually I don't have a problem with this. If it's a sex act or something, I can explain that just fine.
But "slut" is a really complicated concept! There's layers to it. And sexist, sex-negative concepts to explain.
I went with "it's someone who likes sex, which is most adult people, so it's mostly just that they're making a joke. Also don't say the word at school."
