I was trying to make the point that installing A/C only makes climate change worse.
No need to get Russia involved. But did you know that Germany's uranium and gas were/are both imported from Russia and North America?

Americans are scoffing at Europeans again for not installing air conditioning.
Do they even know these things consume loads of energy?
We need to do something about the climate. We must drastically lower emissions, especially in the US.
We also need to adapt.
A/C units are a dumb. But replacing oil and gas heating with heat pumps and installing solar panels is smart!
That way, the excess summer solar energy can be used to cool buildings with installations that are there anyway.

I formatted a big document with @npub10cs…n44p (LibreOffice is barely usable on a Mac). It being marketed as an OpenOffice alternative, I figured the Open DocumentText (ODT) format would be its native file format. While Word and Pages would show a warning when saving in a different file format, Onlyoffice didn't. Everything seemed to work fine. Until I closed the application and opened it again today. At least half a day of work lost, because apparently you're supposed to save as DOCX?!
