Stalin was carrying out orders from Rome to get revenge on the Eastern Orthodox Christians for rejecting Papal Supremacy. For the same reason the mustache monster started a war in Germany and Europe to purge protestants who had rejected Papal supremacy.
The wars are always holy wars waged using pretexts and deceptions. Modern historians are morons, overlooking this glaring fact.

Gun control laws work for people of low intelligence or low moral character. A criminal of middling intelligence can get guns anywhere in the world. These criminals clearly were not very smart. They were impulsive and short-sighted, which is why they would not be able to get guns.
The proper word for disarmed people is : SLAVE.
If you are not allowed to be armed, you are a slave. You are not free. You can mealy-mouth it all you want with nonsensical and false political rhetoric, or try to massage the lie with statistics, or whatever. But the fact remains that a man who is disarmed is slave to the man who is armed. The armed man is allowed to easily kill you if you don't submit to his commands, and that is slavery. Just because the masters put a cute tin star and hat on the slavers, doesn't change the nature of what they are: SLAVERS.
"Those who beat their swords into plowshares plow for those who didn't."
Someone has declared themself your master, and told their slave, 'thou shalt not resist by force, the force we force upon you; thou shalt call this, freedom, safety, and law.'
Many slaves love their slavery. They have a word for it : FREEDOM. These 'freedom' loving slaves desire to force their 'freedom' on others, using officers with guns to do it. How do they do this? Why, they beg their master government to use guns, to impose this unarmed state of 'freedom' on everyone else. So those arguing for gun control aren't arguing for gun control. They are arguing for men with guns to control other people without guns and keep them that way. There is a word for this: HYPOCRISY.
Advocates of gun control are against violence, unless it is state thugs doing the violence to people they don't like. Then they are pro-violence all day, every day, praising the violence their police do to others in the name of their slavery racket.

A police officer is a weapon.
A soldier is a weapon.
These are weapons wielded by the state that kill vastly more victims than common criminals with guns or blades. VASTLY MORE by massive orders of magnitude.
People are intimidated by the tools when they should be concerned about the weapons.

@npub1lqg…ajmd @npub10lv…uyd9
The main feature missing from ActivityPub (Mastodon).
The THREAD should be a first-class OBJECT and the OP_USER of said thread should be the ACTOR with admin AUTHORITY of that THREAD object.
The OP of a new post thread should have the power to moderate that thread regardless of where the followups come from. If I post a thread I should be able to remove comments from it network wide. This gets rid of the pretext for server-level censorship by politically motivated admins, allowing the OP and participants to decide which threads and comments they wish to tolerate or delete. This would also frustrate trolls and spammers, which is a good thing to be desired.
If some moron wants to post unnecessary profanity and baiting slurs in a thread that I started, I should be able to click a button to ban that moron from that thread and remove the moron's offending posts from that thread. Let the moron start his own thread about his vaunted superhuman superiority, which I won't ever have to see or deal with.
Instances should pull signed followups, deletes, edits, and bans from the server account of the OP account that posted the opening post for a thread. This would resolve a lot of issues and eliminate a lot of hassle for admins as well as a lot of motive for admins overusing the ban hammer. Every OP would have the ban hammer for threads started by OP.
Each instance should cryptographically sign OP key in thread responses, so that by default a signed revoke by OP key is proof of authority to revoke, causing compliant instances to reject the revoked object and not pull it in the first place, and to delete it in the second instance of discovery.
It is not enough to just mute a user. When some clown comes in to simply disrupt a thread the OP of the thread should have authority to resolve it. This is much better than filing a complaint with admins and waiting who knows how long for a response or resolution.

One thought I have: filesharing using rsync. Just scriptomatically create rsync commands to pull the chosen files in a list. Use rsync with hashing to prevent pulling duplicate data. With a little veneer and an interface, it would actually be quite handy. Then users can connect to any public repository and pull the files they want to read with a few mouse clicks, instead of meandering back and forth inside a web browser.

This gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, "f*** around and find out." Brutal.
What is it with these perps carrying machetes? A machete is for toting around in the woods and brush, not downtown. And threatening police with a machete is a real stupid move and removes all sympathy for the suspect. Just dumb.
On the same site a Canadian suspect fled across the border into USA and was captured by the Washington State Patrol. This genius also had a machete. What gives?

I do know that edonkey still has some peers. WinMX became DarkMX and has a few dedicated peers. Other than that, IDK. What about Limewire, Phex, or gnutella in general? Does anyone still use these old nets?

For those who think MAGA is going to save the world; a little history ...
MAGA is Classical Latin for WITCH or SORCERER that plays 'mind tricks' by telling stories to taint perceptions.
Time Magazine is part of the cult of MAGAS.
MAGA is also the fifth degree of the Church of Satan.
A MAGA 'casts a spell' or 'tells a story' to deceive his hearers into believing a lie. Once they believe the lie the sorcerer can get them to do his bidding.
The Red Lawd and Sabyoor of the republicants is a MAGA. They are bewitching the minds of millions into believing lies so the victims will act according to those lies.

The government could let them buy controlling stock so they can run the company then start paying them back for the stock in installments with a guaranteed ROI on the final buy-back by local interests, not counting whatever ROI the buyers can muster up in the interim. That would be fair and it would secure American interest while making fools of the politicians and management that created the situation.

Waco. I will never forget that. I remember when the feds first laid siege to it. I was sitting with some family and blurted out, "Watch them kill those people. They said he claimed he was Christ, which means they intend to kill them."
Turns out Koresh never claimed to be Christ. It is the murdering government that is claiming itself to be christ and king over our lives. It is the murderers in the so-called government that have messianic delusions about themselves and their racket.

Judges will sometimes imprison a defendant on contempt for even using the word, 'tyranny'. If you describe the DA's case as tyrannical, you'll be labeled, 'anti-government', a word having no legal meaning whatsoever, yet ruled upon by idiots in the judiciary. Some of the 'public servants' are low-grade morons and savages. They are so stupid they are dangerous to liberty; yet in their own minds they are elevated to hero status.
