Ah, #LegendOfShenLi. In many ways, a flawed #CDrama. However, its allure is the character, Xing Zhi, a lonely but almighty being burdened by the responsibilities of keeping the world safe. He has a deep sorrow for being the only one of his kind left, of living his existence for others but never for himself ... that when he found someone he could love, fought to hold on to that shred of love.
I thought Li Gengxin portrayed the character so well.

FYI, I don't know if it's a good idea for Malaysia to join #BRICS. I hate that with being a member we'll suddenly be more noticeable. (I like our country to be under the radar.) But maybe with US starting to sanction companies & the semiconductor industry in Malaysia, perhaps there's not much choice beyond seeking bigger economic ties via a bloc. *shrug*.

Got a comment in my infamous "why I gave up my Australian PR" video that I'd regret it in my 40s. Well, I'm already here & happier than I've ever been. My stint in #Australia taught me to be grateful for what I have in Malaysia. I know it's unpopular to say that #Malaysia is "not that bad", because Malaysians are very pessimistic about the country's prospects. But in Oz, I saw the same attitudes. Same shit everywhere, but it's up to you to see if there's nice bits beyond the 💩

You know what #Cdramas do so well?
Emotional intensity.
#Chinese people are stoic, reserved and not physically demonstrative. So, one has to read the emotional queues in a glance, a gesture and most importantly through words. For eg, in #JoyOfLife2 polite words are exchanged in seemingly genteel banquets, but there's no mistaking the hatred. ❤️ Is expressed through a longing look & a tear. When characters finally get physical, the tension is explosive! 🙀

It's funny how I wanted #Obsidian be my everything at first. I used it as a task manager, project manager etc. Now I've moved work-related stuff out of my vault. Now use my co's Confluence to store project & meeting notes for my knowledge base, and my tasks in Todoist.
My vault can now focus on what Obsidian does best - a #PKM note taking app for my passions rather than a productivity tool.

We Hokkiens just called them "pao" and what I have here is "bak pau", which has a barbecue pork filling. The ones without filling are called "mantao".
Baozhi had been eaten in China for more than a thousand years from as early as the Song dynasty.
Some people peel off the outer layer before they eat but I like to eat with it. In the past that's because of hygiene as the baozhi is handled by hands that are often dirty.
