"A common and low-cost antidepressant can successfully treat fatigue associated with long COVID, according to a new study.
Co-led by researchers from McMaster University in Ontario, the study found that the drug fluvoxamine, which is commonly sold under the name Luvox, significantly reduced fatigue symptoms in a clinical trial of 399 adults with long COVID. It is one of the first times a medication has been shown to effectively treat the condition. "

I've been watching comedian John Johnson's performances on YouTube, and the amount of material is incredible. He'll put out a new 40 minute stand up performance every week, with brand new topical material. But it's not crowd work and it's not improv, it all feels very deliberate and considered. And, at times, beautiful. https://youtube.com/shorts/7icZhXuiDx8
I mean, he's also a veteran comedy writer and host of the Daily Show, so it's not exactly surprising. Even so, it's extremely impressive.

At my Library, we have a service where you give our course reserves team your syllabus and they do everything else, including adding reading links to the learning management system. Finding the resources, copyright clearances, scanning, purchasing.
If you want to motivate faculty, take motivation destroying tasks off their plate.

The Hub and Canadian Dimension op-ed writers don't usually agree.
"This is what makes the decision to boot Nate Erskine-Smith, the Liberals’ most skilled housing communicator and one of the most popular MPs among younger voters—even those of the blue and orange varieties—so confounding, if not insulting. Even more so: the choice to replace him with a former Vancouver mayor, Robertson, who presided over astronomical home price increases."
"On housing, the appointment of Gregor Robertson is perplexing. As mayor of Vancouver, Robertson presided over a decade where housing prices more than doubled and municipal taxes on new housing rose by over 140 percent. Replacing Nate Erskine-Smith—a thoughtful, young, well-regarded MP with deep knowledge of the file—with someone whose track record is frankly weak, is a choice."

I feel exactly the same way. I don't know Robertson, but after Nate had a conversation with Carolyn Whitzman (https://www.uncommons.ca/p/fixing-canadas-housing-crisis-with) on Uncommons it was clear he knew what needed to happen.
