America is no longer the indispensable nation.
The post war order was predicated on a stable United States. Trump’s chaotic #politics has destroyed the post war order. New alliances are being formed by former allies and a decoupling of dependence on American institutions is grinding forward. It will be expensive, but the alternative is eternal instability

1) The second #Trump administration has a lot in common with the chaotic governments of Juan Peron.
Anybody with a passing interest in #geopolitics and #economics are aware of the cautionary tale of #Argentina - a booming country at the beginning of the 20th century, replete with natural resources, managed to squander its advantages as it zigzagged between the weirdness of #peronism and #facist junta’s
