Fiat problems 101. We have 2 Canadian clients. Both have been attempting to pay for their real estate with Fiat.
Since 8th of August, one client made 3 banks transfers. Canada allowed 1, returned the 2nd, the 3rd is “in transit” but not arrived.
Second client made one payment from her Canadian bank August 11th. It was returned to her on the 18th. Her bank would not tell her why they could not complete her international wire. She then made 2 more payments on the 18th. Both of these are “in transit” according to RBC.
The returns to both of their banks cost them a lot as the Mexican peso has been gaining.
Yesterday a Bitcoin client paid for their property onchain, it was received by the seller late evening.
Bitcoin wins again. And yes: the 2 mentioned above are now orangepilled. And will be making their next payments using bitcoin.

Now that’s it’s totally possible (I can only speak to Mx).. there’s no need for fiat intermediaries taking such huge commissions from those sending money abroad. There are other countries such as Dubai, Elsalvador, Costa Rica,Honduras embracing the same. There’s other options. Such as using a bitcoin debit card from another country (yes this is possible I use Kapitalex). Aqua is releasing a card soon I believe to America. But you can get a Kapitalex card from Mexico, and there’s your no tax at the gas pump. Bitcoiners are a creative bunch.

When will people realize, the only global, portable currency is Bitcoin.
I want to feel bad for those who can’t seem to transfer their fiat into Mexico due to sanctions.

Important to note these change yearly. One question that comes up often, do you need residency to own property in Mexico.
No, residence is not required. Many vacation home owners simply take advantage of the 6month entry stamp for North Americans.
Mexico does not recognize #bitcoin as legal tender, therefore Bitcoin holdings are not considered for financial sovereignty purposes.
