I don’t know shit about fuck, but all I want in my life is to have ONE decentralized social media platform to go to for everything (conversations, posts from people I follow, videos, pics, etc). I am probably one of the few who has deleted everything (except LinkedIn which I use for business) and only use Nostr, but I miss what I got from those other platforms.

@npub1exc…n72a Your predictions in the past have been consistently wildly optimistic (price, adoption levels, etc) because you consistently wildly underestimate the time at which change happens.
There is basically zero chance people will be going into a grocery store to see pricing in sats instead of their local currencies in 5-10 years. I think it will happen, but it will take decades.

Good point. Everyone “says” they want to be wealthy, but most are psychologically uncomfortable with actually being wealthy, and having close friends that are wealthy. Your friend was probably in that camp and made decisions to keep himself in a life he felt comfortable with.

Yes loved the show.
ETFs are perhaps against the ethos of bitcoin, but Jim's concerns about them are only relevant IMO if a very significant % ends up in them, which I think is unlikely. Even then, the important part is that people still have the ability to self custody if they choose.

To the first question-I think yes. Dollars are loaned into existence to produce something, and the production is used to pay back the debt, extinguishing the money.
When "too much" money is loaned into existence (I.e perhaps because of the supression of interest rates) to produce things, it is still economic growth, but borrowed economic growth from the future.
