I just came across this beautiful old colonial house, around 95 years old, they told me. 🏛️
It’s a hotel now, far too expensive for me to stay in. But I simply had to take a look. 😍
Honestly, I could imagine living here. Making this place my home. ❤️
Check out the photos! 📸

An arrogant person considers himself perfect. This is the chief harm of arrogance. It interferes with a person's main task in life becoming a better person.

At least now I have an idea why I'm feeling sick. Yesterday, something like a needle pricked my foot. I couldn't see anything, and just 5 minutes later, I started feeling unwell. Someone told me it was a scorpion, but I thought it was just a thorn. 🤔
Today, I still feel sick around my belly. But now I suspect it might have nothing to do with the prick at all, but with the water I've been drinking for almost a week. 💧
Sometimes, the real cause isn't what you first think. 🫠

Today I move on again. This time I walk down that hill. I'm returning to my old accommodation because it's booked out starting today. I just had a coffee — my last one here with a view. Then I'll pack my things and walk.
The view photo was taken last night. The cup is my beloved one, which I've carried for many years.
Photos show my bag during packing. This is everything I own: my Osprey Farpoint 40 with the Fairview Daypack.

After a robbery in Windhoek forced me to replace my phone, I had to cash out my Hive Dollars and sell some Bitcoin — something I never planned to do. It wasn't ideal, especially during a market downturn, but Hive gave me the liquidity I needed when it mattered most. This experience reinforced my belief in decentralized technologies, and now my focus is on rebuilding while continuing to share my travels, self-hosting projects, and life as a digital nomad.

For nearly two decades, a handful of companies have shaped how we communicate online. They decide what we see, how we interact, and often how creators earn a living.
Today, a new generation of social networks is emerging. Built on open standards, community ownership, and user freedom, decentralized platforms offer a different vision of the internet.
