Dotnet introduced slnx as a replacement for the old sln soltution files. And VSCode creates them per default.
The nanoframework uses a csproject-file-variation that dotnet 10 msbuild does not understand. So you need to install mono-complete as it has a msbuild that works.
The catch is that the linux mono-complete msbuild version 16.10 does not understand slnx.
Does anyone know how to force vscode to create sln or convert them back?

Got an external USB DVD drive Today and was just testing how easy it is to watch DVDs on Linux.
Was prepared to some researching and installing.
But as it turns out it was just plug the drive in, insert a disc and a popup asks me if I want to start VLC or something else.
Started VLC and it just works. Including the DVD menus.
Best thing: this is ten times faster than TV DVD players as there are no unskippable intros etc.

I cannot understand why anyone would prefer having their knowledgebase and support in #Discord vs. hosting their own web accessible forum.
You cannot find any of the content that is hidden in Discord if you are not on Discord.
For example #nigthingale has a lot of great content in Discord and mostly outdated crappy content outside of it.
This is peak closed web 😞

@nprofile…d0yj Spain and the EU can cover their basic needs and have enough to export that is why I didn't think of adding it in my previous comment - I don't perceive it as a threat.
Last year Spain had a day long national power outage and I experienced what happens if your digital infrastructure is offline or disrupted. Nothing worked. No shopping for groceries or medicine, no nothing. Cell phone towers ran out of backup power after 3 hours.
Since then I perceive digital dependence as a threat.

@nprofile…u7p7 Since writing code is not a physical thing and it is not bound to a location you would need something global - and that is not gonna happen.
You can have formal training like through a degree or certification. But that is only artificially gatekeeping people. I have seen great engineers with no degree and really bad ones with a degree.
My fear is that the people who will do the gatekeeping will just be the folks with the biggest market power.
