The ASX200 index was tracking Australia's M3 money supply growth rate steadily until the GFC.
What this shows is that prior to the GFC, if the M3 money supply expanded by 7% in a year, the ASX200 index generally followed suit.
Since the GFC, the money supply has continued to grow at a compounded rate, while the ASX200 has fallen short.
The major wealth creators of the ASX200 were those who timed the market exceptionally well, selling at the highs of 2019, repurchasing the index at the lows of COVID-19, and since then achieving returns that have mirrored M3 money supply growth.
How many had the skills to time the Covid drop?
The ASX200 is made up of the largest 200 businesses on the Australian Stock Market, but only a small percentage of those companies are responsible for the recovery since the GFC and COVID. Many others have delisted or been acquired.
Stocks can also be diluted through capital raises.
Bitcoin, on the other hand, is a fixed-supply asset, the only guaranteed fixed asset in the world.
Not only does it track the M2 global liquidity market, but it has also outperformed by a factor of 7–10x depending on the year.
Choose your assets wisely. https://blossom.primal.net/abf4975075c743868b094c1aa2ba9041cc7987dffa97773542565655c0db303c.jpg

Fun fact now that Nakamoto dropped 55% overnight.
$NAKA
Bitcoin holding = 5,764.91 BTC
Bitcoin Value = $660.5 million
Total Market Cap = $630 million
Bitcoin / Business ratio = 1.05 (105%)
$MSTR
Bitcoin holding = 638,985 BTC
Bitcoin Value = $73.2 billion
Total Market Cap = $95 billion
Bitcoin / Business ratio = 0.77 (77%)
If Bitcoin treasury is what you value...

2025-09-16 01:32:08 UTC

Compare the pair, a multi-million dollar decision
🏠Australian Investment Property (True Story)
vs
⚡️Bitcoin in the same period (Wishful)
🏠Property requirement: $150,000 deposit
- Property annual expenses
- Banking loan
- Tenant management
- Maintenance
- and much much more
⚡️Bitcoin requirement: Initial deposit
- Hardware once off cost
- Bitcoin Node
- Mining equipment just to add some costs
- In this example, $1,000 per annum, once off lump sum on September each year.
Compared:
🏠Investment Property = $150,000 deposit
⚡️Bitcoin = $7,000 deposit
Outcome over 7 years:
🏠Investment Property = $20,151 net profit
⚡️Bitcoin = $312,673 net profit
IF we spread the $150,000 deposit over 7 year DCA
Bitcoin = $6,897,000 https://blossom.primal.net/7518a11fe12b904144ea9c8eb2410cf1db98b1cb495bd5d603bd508bdcf76bef.png

2025-09-15 23:55:54 UTC

$NAKA down 95.2% since May 2025
If you invested $10,000 in Nakamoto in May, today you would have $480
If you bought $10,000 of Bitcoin in the same period, today you would have $12,268

2025-09-15 23:55:35 UTC

Australian M1 money supply expands by 10.33% each year on average for the past 23 years.
If your assets aren't growing by 7%+ per annum, this inflation is a compounding effect that will destroy wealth.

Australia is trending in the wrong direction.
Debt per home is increasing exponentially, up 100% in 10 years from $150,000 to $290,285 per home.
The most alarming part is most of the debt is in the younger generation.
Australian GDP has spiraled lower and lower since 1970, as countries backed off from the gold standard, the sacrifice was economic decay as they print into oblivian.
If you're not holding assets that are scarce and desirable, the gap between you and the wealthy has widden more than ever.
It's not just Australia, most countries GDP have collapsed in the same time frame, as banks got bailed out over and over diluting your bank accounts, and the economy requires 10% more sugar each year to get that positive GDP growth hit.
If no one is working 10% harder each year, how does the economy grow?
There are only two ways an economy can increase their wealth:
1. Generate a good or service that attracts international money. NET IN from their money printer.
2. Our own money printing.
Australia, rich in commodities, was the foundation of our countries growth since the 1900s. POINT 1 above.
Over the last few decades, we have sold out many of our projects to internationals, and losing this edge. Losing POINT 1 above.
Secondly, education / international students make up a large part of our POINT 1 above.
The question I ask to those old enough, was Australia a better place to live in 1980s than it is today?
Where would you rank Australia in prosperity in the 1990s, to where it is today?

Everything will get cheaper in Australia when saving in Bitcoin
In late 2024, for the first time in Bitcoin history, an Australian home valued at $977,000 AUD was priced at just 9.42 BTC.
High-value properties are now being valued in single-digit Bitcoin.
While on the flip side, Australian real estate to income ratios are now above 10 to 1!
Since the GFC in 2008, home to income ratios in Australia went from 4.9 : 1, to 7.21 : 1 in 2014, exploded to 10.11 : 1 in 2021, and is now sitting flat 10:1.
If history repeats, the best way to save and own a home in Australia is via a Bitcoin savings strategy.

Would any Australians be able to ask their local real estate agent or financial planner what is happening here?
Here is the accumulative growth rate for each:
Australian Wages: Up 882% since 1976
Australian Real Estate: Up 3,733% since 1976
Australian M1: Up 20,703% since 1976
We could use M3, the data isn't available.

Australian wage growth vs M1 money expansion.
The difference?
Since 1976:
Money supply has expanded by 20,703%
Wage growth by 882%
From 2020 to 2022, 70% of ALL the money in supply was printed.
The strongest wage growth years were from 1976 to 1984.
The weakest wage growth year was 2024, the only year under 2%.

In 1966, Australia split from the UK pound at a 2:1 ratio as Australia moved to its own local currency.
Every 1 Australian Pound converted to $2 Australian dollars.
Psychologically, Australians thought they received a 100% pay rise.
This move was in fact detrimental and contributed to the reason real estate ratios went from 3:1 to 10:1 today.
Between 1966 and 1976, there were a few factors to consider as to why wage growth went parabolic:
1⃣ Psychology: Australians had magically increased their wages by 2x in 1966, so the demand for pay rises in subsequent years were faught for.
2⃣ The US removed the gold standard in 1971, so countries started to print fiat money and rapidly increased inflation.
3⃣ Equal Pay Reforms were between 1969 and 1972.
4⃣ Australia was establishing itself as a trade giant with Iron ore, natural gas, coal and much more.
Then in 1978 we see PEAK wage growth, and falling ever since.
Real Estate boomers from the 1970s, 80s and 90s built property portfolios because their wage growth was in line with inflation.
However from the year 2000, for the first time since 1940, Australia's wage growth was below 4% and below the inflation expansion of money supply.
Here is why real estate is unaffordable for young Australians. You've been priced out.
If your wage growth is less than inflation, there are a few things you can do:
Work harder, work longer, or upskill and find a better job. Who's happy with that?
Bitcoin could be one of the ONLY assets that will help you buy a home in the future as it beats inflation every year, PLUS generates wealth far greater than the inflationary number.

If you live in Australia and:
1. Only hold AUD
2. Only have property.
74% of ALL the Australian money was printed between 2020 to 2022.
If you only hold AUD, you are infact 74% poorer.
If you hold property, you are about 60% poorer.
If you held Bitcoin, you are 150% more wealthy.
Inflation average annual rate since 2020 was 14.4%

Hurts to see this
13 years to expand M1 Australia money by $700 billion
2 years to add an additional $700 billion
6.5x the velocity
Covid wasn't a global shift in capital, it was new capital allocated.
Bitcoin is one of only few assets that beat this inflation up about 1,245% even with this sell off.

For anyone ready to buy an investment property in Australia, here is the description in the bank statement once it settles.
This was many years ago, but I dug it up for your appraisal.
Yep... government search fee... that is literally just putting your address into a search bar to make sure it's a real property.
$40,000 later in stamps and transfer fees, and you finally have an investment property for strangers to live in and completely destroy.
By the way, every 12 months on average, they would move out, so we lost 1 month rent for the new listing, plus another 1 month rent for the advertising fee.
In the 8 years we had the property, 11 months were loss of rent or used as advertising fees.
Approximately $20,800 just for this expense over the 8 years.
If you held $100,000 in Bitcoin and it drew down $21k, people would call you a loser and gambler.
Then 2 years later your Bitcoin is worth $200,000 and the same people call you lucky.

Did you know you can't move an investment property from Victoria to Perth if Perth is performing better than Vic?
And did you know you can't move your property from Perth to NSW if Perth isn't performing?
That's the fundamental issue with brick and mortar investment properties.
1. You are stuck in that location.
2. The capital is not liquid.
3. The holding costs are 2-5% per year.
4. Agents eat at your pie.
5. Tenants screw your home and you have to pay for it.
6. It's a honey pot for taxes.
Bitcoin travels across space and time with no friction.
It can not be turned off and is built on rules and maths that no one controls.

I don't think the market understands the magnitude of MicroStrategy's Bitcoin playbook since August 2020.
From the year 2000 to 2019, their largest net profit year was 2015, when they generated $105 million. However, there were far more challenging years than profitable ones.
Their average net income from 2000 to 2019 was $32 million, and that only accounts for the positive years. If we factor in the negative years, the business was essentially a zombie company—everything that came in revenue-wise went out expense-wise.
Post-2000, after the accounting scandal and restatement, MicroStrategy likely faced years of financial recovery and stabilization.
In 2019, their market value was $1.4 billion.
COVID was a stake in the heart that pushed
@saylor
to the corner of a dark place.
"Kill the business or take a risk."
Saylor found Bitcoin through pain and survival.
Bitcoin was birthed on the back of the GFC, pain, and for some unfortunate people, survival.
MicroStrategy's first Bitcoin purchase was on the 11th of August 2020 for $250 million at an average price of $21,454 per Bitcoin.
Fast forward to 2025:
👉MicroStrategy is the largest business holder of Bitcoin, with today’s purchase taking them to 461,000 Bitcoin.
👉Their Bitcoin holdings are worth over $48 billion.
👉Their unrealized net profit from their Bitcoin holdings is $19 billion.
👉Their market value is now $95 billion—67x larger or up 6,700% from what it was in August 2020.
👉And for every 1% price move to the upside on Bitcoin, they generate 5.6 years of net income.
👉Their Bitcoin unrealized profits alone have generated 586 years of net income for the business.

Imagine you lived in a country where:
🤌 14.4% of your income went to a hidden tax called inflation sincxe 2020.
🤌 The government taxed a further 30% off your income
🤌 Had to pay 10% GST on everything you buy
🤌 Plus a bunch of other taxes like stamp duty and levies, over 80 types to be clear.
Taxes are collected so they don't have to print "as much" money.
So after your income of $100,000, you are left with about 50% to survive, not to mention spend over half of that on living expenses.
That country is called Australia.
Thankfully, Bitcoin is up 180% since Jan 2024 and was the ONLY asset that beat inflation over the last 4 years, plus generated wealth for it's loyal holders.
The secret formula is simple, yet will require your time and patience Australia:

Lets compare the terms:
Top chart is the Australian M2 money supply during Trump and Bidens campaign.
What we do know is the first two years of both terms were rapid printing.
Why? Because new visions, new bills, new initiatives they'd like to fund.
What we also know is the first two years of Covid expanded ALL of the existing Australian money by 74%...
74% of 200 odd years of Australia was printed in just 2 years.
What's different this time?
Trump is talking about Cryptocurrencies (even though he shitcoins) , the landscape for Bitcoin is positive.
In his first term, he shit canned Bitcoin and it moved 5,789% in that 2 years.
The most interesting part is the Bitcoin halving supply / demand takes effect generally 120 - 200 days AFTER the halving date as miners recallobrate mining costs etc and it just so happens the Bitcoin mining lag aligns with NEW presidential inaugurations.
What else is different?
1⃣ ETFs are now in the scene worth $ billions
2⃣ Microstrategy is now in the scene holding 450,000 BTC
3⃣ Over 50 corporate companies now hold Bitcoin on their balance sheets and growing.
4⃣ Nation states like El Salvador, Bhutan, US, China, Ukraine holding Bitcoin or exploring the reserves.
5⃣ Market cap above $2 trillion now opens huge liqudity rails for corporations and institutions. What do I mean by this?
5 years ago, an institution couldn't move $2 billion of bitcoin without moving the price dramatically.
Today, $2 billion can be moved for under $10 bucks on the time chain with small fluctations in price.
The more Bitcoin grows, the stronger the capital.
This is the new Bitcoin era. Buckle up https://m.primal.net/Nsiq.png

In 16 years your kids will ask you why you didn't buy any Bitcoin.
"Mum n Dad, you had the chance to buy real estate in the 1980s, why didn't you?" I asked this question throughout my teenage years.
Mum n Dads response was so lame and simple "We didn't know property would go up as it did".
Your answer will need to be extremely thoughtout because the picture below happened in just 4 years.
In the next 16 years, we witness a further four Bitcoin halvings where newly minted Bitcoin supply would have fallen by more than 93.75% compared to todays reward.
Today, 3.125 Bitcoin enters the market every 10 minutes or 164,250 Bitcoin per annum.
16 years from today, this number reduces to 0.1953 Bitcoin per 10 minutes, or just 10,265 Bitcoin per annum.
Imagine knowing you had a chance to buy a beach front property in Bondi, in 2008.
Don't say you didn't know. The proof has been in the Bitcoin for years.

Australian M1 money supply has broken it's all time high inflating at alarming rates post Covid, decaying most of Australian's wealth.
There was only one asset class that beat the rate of inflation over these years.
The Reserve Bank of Australia commenced operations on the 14th of January 1960.
From 1960 to 1975, Australia held approximately $8.269 billion AUD in money reserves (M1) as it broke away from the British pound in 1966.
Australians embarked on a new currency journey with their native Australian Dollar.
From 1975 to 1990, the Australian money supply had increased to $43.51bil, or 419.74%, an average of $2.3 billion, or 7.7% per annum, reflects the consequence of adopting an unbacked currency. This flexibility allows for significant adjustments.
From 1990 to 2016, Australia printed $700 billion dollars, marking a 1,644% increase over 26 years, or an average inflation rate of 7.17% annually.
(To real estate owners: your property may have increased over time, but only at the rate of inflation. Here is the evidence. If property doubles in value every 10 years, so does the money supply).
From 2016 to 2024, the entire M1 supply doubled to $1.67 trillion. It took 40 years to reach $700 billion, but only 5 years to double it and then some, increasing by 2.3 times.
74% of all NEW Australian money was printed since March 2020.
Bitcoin has been the only asset class to not only beat, but perform at multples of this obsurd money value diltuions. From 2016 to 2025, Bitcoin's price is up 14,613%, or an average gain 74.12% every year.

The previous post on real estate has plenty responding "yea what about the leverage of real estate?"
Here is my real use case. I owned an investment property in Footscray from 2016 to 2024.
My deposit was $150,000, and purchase $690,000.
Stamp duty = $32,000, so owned us $722,000.
Sold in 2024 for $830,000. (Agent commission was $14,000. These slugs are the only ones making money in real estate for doing fuck all. House sold before they touched it.)
In those years, the maintenance, the agent fees, interest, rental loss, commission to agent etc even after the rental income, we walked away with $30,000 profit.
$150k levered to gain $30,000 or 20% in 8 years.
Factor inflation and we lost money.
In 2016, 10x less capital with 0 leverage of $15,000 buys you 6.25 Bitcoin today worth almost $1mil.
The full deposit buys you 93 Bitcoin, today worth $14 million or 14 Australian properties with 0 debt.
The case is over for the property ponzi scheme.
Your numbers on a calculator are one thing. I live and breathed as a landlord for 8 years. Wasn't paid rent. Tents fucked the home. Tax and rates every year.

Very interesting Australia. Who's accountable ?
NBN Australia
Initial Budget: $29 billion
Final Cost: $51 billion
Nuclear Submarine Program (AUKUS)
Initial Estimate: $50 billion (for the now-canceled French submarine deal)
Revised Estimate: Up to $368 billion by 2055 for the nuclear-powered submarines under AUKUS
Snowy Hydro 2.0
Initial Budget: $2 billion
Revised Cost: Over $12 billion
WestConnex (Sydney Motorway Project)
Initial Estimate: $10 billion
Final Cost: Approximately $17 billion
Queensland's Cross River Rail
Initial Budget: $5.4 billion
Revised Estimate: Over $13 billion
NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme)
Initial Estimate: $8 billion per year at maturity (as per early projections)
Current Cost: Projected to reach $61 billion per year by 2027, with some estimates suggesting costs could exceed $125 billion annually by 2034
$125 billion is 7.18% of ALL AUSTRALIAN M1 MONEY SUPPLY since the birth of modern Australia over 150 years.

2025-01-16 02:09:55 UTC

Average Australian home values officially up 102% (doubled price) from 2012 to 2024 as of Q3.
12 years to double.
🚨Earth to propery holders🌎 Alert!
The M3 (includes all cash and mortgages) money supply in Australia is up 108.7% in the same period.
You are infact poorer by 5.98%.
And what's worse is you paid holding costs, management fees, leasing fees, rental loss, insurances, and compulsory safety checks every single year if it's an investment property.
Bitcoin is up 60,000% in the same period.
If you had just $2,000 in Bitcoin for the same period, you would have $1.2mil aud or a fully furnished house in Australia with change.

Once studying Bitcoin, the future can't be unseen.
No Bitcoiners have un-Bitcoin. Adoption can only go up.
The only way a person would un-Bitcoin, is possibly due to a bad experience in loss, forgotten wallet, hack, misplace seed phrase. All of these issues are preventable.

Australia, how behind are we?
We are a top energy commodity producer.
Top 2 in the world for Coal
Top 3 in the world for Natural Gas
Top 3 in the work for Uranium
Top 3 in the world for Hydrogen
One of the hottest deserts for solar
With just 1% of all our energy produced from the top 5 projects of each category above, we would produce 12.7% of the global hashrate...
JUST 1% OF OUR PRODUCTION FROM 20 PROJECTS ACROSS COAL, NAT GAS, URANIUM, HYDROGEN WOULD PRODUCE 12.7%!!!

125 taxes in Australia
The only tax that affects Bitcoin is Capital Gains Tax (CGT)
There is no CGT on the Australian dollar.
The right policies should be written to exempt CGT on Bitcoin.
Unlike the "Australian Dream" of investment properties, these investments have multiple taxes including stamp duty, land tax, council rates.
In Victoria, new tax policies have seen investment properties become the worst assets to hold due to a new Covid relief plan where the state government would increase the tax by almost 300% if you own a second property, and even higher if you hold a block of land with no dwelling for more than 2 years.
Opt out of this bullshit. They will continue to attack assets in Australia to pay down the horribly run and over budget projects / initiatives.

Let's debunk the problem in the year 2140 when Bitcoin miners only have the transaction fees as income.
1. By the year 2050, most of the Bitcoin mining will be on renewable cheap energy anyway.
2. Only the most efficient mining pools will continue.
3. Their maintenance cost / energy cost may be X amount of today.
4. Bitcoin would have engulfed 5-10% of the global asset value.
5. With today's price, that is $2.6 million per Bitcoin.
6. The current block as of this message had a total transaction fee of 0.056 Bitcoin.
7. 0.056 x $2.6mil = $148,235 which is almost as much as the current reward.
8. By the year 2140, Bitcoin will be the global money anyway and all transactions from government to government will use the Bitcoin network.
9. The global asset value wil be 900 quintillion because humans love printing money forever.
10. Bitcoin will be 5% of that anyway.
11. Bitcoin price will be $2.6 billion, then.
12. $2.6 billion by 0.056 Bitcoin saying the transaction amount per block does not change = $2.6 billion x 0.056 = $145,600,000 worth.
Bitcoin issue solved.
Keep stacking.

Once I completely wrapped my head around these four Bitcoin qualities (pillars) that #Satoshi put together, we went from a 5% Bitcoin family, to all in.
🕐Difficulty adjustment - #Balance
🕑Block mining times - #Time
🕒Proof of Work - #Energy
🕓Fixed supply - #Scacity
Once this all clicked, I knew one day my kids would never say " #Dad, you had the chance, why didn't you buy more?"
The same questions I asked my parents about physcial #property of the 90s.
Please do yourself a favour even if you hold 0 #Bitcoin, absorb those 4 pillars of Bitcoin.

2024-09-17 22:27:03 UTC

In the beginning of 2024, the total Bitcoin held across all cryptocurrency exchanges stood at approximately 2,720,000 Bitcoin.
Fast forward nine months, and this figure has plummeted to a low of just 2,340,000 BTC.
This marks a significant reduction of 380,000 BTC — a 14% drop in available Bitcoin on exchanges.
What does this mean for the market?
Supply Crunch in the Making.
We know that only 450 new Bitcoin are mined and introduced to the market each day, totalling 164,250 BTC annually.
The drop of 380,000 BTC in just 9 months means that exchanges have lost a whopping 2.3 years’ worth of new supply.

Having the problem with friends saying:
"The price of Bitcoin is too high?"
" Bitcoin looks too expensive?"
"Am I too late to buy Bitcoin?"
Let's put in perspective how "cheap" Bitcoin really is...
If you enjoyed the Proof of Work in putting this together, give it a share.

From the 1st of August to the 5th of August, the #nasdaq dropped 11.96%.
On one of @Samson Mow podcasts, the host asked where the money will come from to send #Bitcoin to $1 million.
If the money that sold between the 1st of Aug to 5th of Aug on the Nasdaq made it's way to Bitcoin, Bitcoin would be sitting at $209,000 US per coin.
Now imagine the #newyork stock exchange, the Japanese, The Chinese, the FTSE. If they all followed suit, there is your $1million per coin if we consider stock market consideration.
Guess what, the real estate market is 3x larger than the global stock markets.
1% from stocks, 1% from real estate, 1% from bonds, 1% from pension funds, 1% from oil, gold, silver, copper, nickel, natural gas, iron ore, as a whole, and we are sitting well above $1million per Bitcoin.

Bitcoin has never broken an all-time high 30 days before a halving.
Once Bitcoin passes its 108th day after a halving, it never returns to the halving price again.

Australian Property Index from 1975 through to 2023 had an average annual growth rate of only 2.6%.
Most of the gains came AFTER the year 2000 as rates fell continously from a cash rate of 6.25% to 0.5% in 2020.
On the otherhand, the M1 Australian money supply rose 13.1% every year since 1975.
Yes most houses doubled every 10 years, but so did the money supply PLUS the infaltion cost of living.
Everyone is much much poorer if you factor in interest, taxes and maintenance.
@MattBBTC
I had to make this chart ratio as there is not really any accurate data or charts comparing the two.
Also to note, this is Australian properties nationally. Big differences if you isolate SYD and MELB.

#Bitcoin or #Stocks ?
Stocks are run by managers who change.
Stocks can be diluted when the company wishes to raise more funds.
Stocks lose contracts.
CEOs and Directors sell their own stock when the price is high.
Stock financial balancesheets can be manipulated.
Buying a company on a particular market means your money is in that market. It can't be moved to another market unless sold.
Bitcoin has a fixed supply = 0 dilution.
Bitcoin has no CEO or managers.
Bitcoin is open source.
Bitcoin is decentralized.
Bitcoin is global and boarderless.
