A few days ago, a new feature landed in ScummVM.
The new feature allows displaying interactive hotspot markers in games.
When enabled, users can press a configurable key (default 'h') to show visual markers at clickable locations, with optional text labels showing object names.
The new feature needs to be implemented for each engine separately, so don't hold your breath for too long.
If you want to read all the gory details, check out the PR!

A new engine just landed in ScummVM!
Introducing: PELROCK, an engine adding support for the game
"Alfred Pelrock: En Busca de un Sueño".
The engine is complete with no identified major bugs and all features available.
The game is only available in Spanish, but an Android re-release has an English translation, so maybe we can do something about that.

Good news: We've been accepted again to the Google Summer of Code program!
Fear not—we will provide enough handholding, explanations, and support if you can dedicate time to coding on our project, are an open-minded developer ready to learn, and do not hesitate to ask any questions. We've been doing GSoC for the last 18 years (oh my gosh), so we know the drill.

A new engine has been merged.
yuv422 was working for a while on an engine for Darkseed.
So far, the engine takes 10,883 lines of code, which brings it to a lower end. However, all the game logic is hardcoded, so the development is not an easy feat.
