The WWE are not only integrated into the Trump regime, eager promoters of racist comics and serial scammers like the Paul brothers, they're now streaming content on Rumble to help normalise that and introduce a platform designed for, and by Nazis to their young audience.
If you like wrestling in any way, do not give them any money. Doesn't matter if they sign your favourite indie guy, you're funding a company that's pushing kids to the home of Candace Owens and Andrew Tate.

The right are fine with censorship as long as they're in charge of it. Conservatism needs censorship to function as you can only preserve an idealised version of the past if you're able to prevent anyone pointing out that it never really existed, and remove anyone's ability to talk about doing things a better way, or even expressing who they really are in public.

Five years time these eco data centers will have been found leaking PFAs into the ground because the companies building them are cowboys from the crypto world. One year later they will declare bankruptcy and leave it for the government to clean as the operators flee to the Middle East with billions in ill gotten wealth.

The only responsible AI use I support is techbros being held responsible for the damage they cause.

Dolly Parton was someone who used their talent and work ethic to do genuine good in the world rather than retreating to a castle to try and ruin things for everyone else in this life.
I went to my local library in the UK last year and was surprised and delighted to see signs for her books for children program extending even here, well away from her home country. Her drive to do good, to spread the joy of reading and literacy knew no borders. Compare her life to her peers in music and celebrity and she stands out as an inspiration to us all.
On top of the child literacy program, she helped fund the Moderna covid vaccine, helping humanity in one of it's darkest points while other wealthy people were more interested in profiteering or like Bill Gates, fighting to make sure their donations can't fund anything that's public domain... Dolly just did what she did, no strings attached to anything but her guitar.
Her music was good too.
She will be missed.

Anyone who pines for the 50s and 60s lifestyle and diet should be made to watch news footage from the 70s, with 30 and 40 year olds looking like the cryptkeeper's dad.

I fully expect Israel to throw their entire political weight into trying to get the rule changed, then rage quit before the next contest as they can't spend a few million to try and get a major international event on the cheap for propaganda reasons.

The next time anyone says 'you can't tax the rich, they will leave!' just point at JK Rowling's ongoing attacks on vulnerable communities and weaponisation of the courts against charities and then ask them if they think any one person having that level of influence in a nation is really a good thing.
If someone attended a birthday party and started eating everything, unwrapping and stealing gifts, bullying other people and making threats to anyone who said no, you'd ask them to leave, buying an electric car company or writing child cop wizard books doesn't exempt them from playing nice with others.

So, dear reader, the real hacks in the recent Anthropic and openAI containment breach stories were the journalists covering them unquestioningly all along.

Watching right wingers who've been calling LGBTQ+ people groomers and p*dophiles rally around the Tate brothers, who have years of content about how to groom underage women for sexual exploitation, and tailor their content to groom angry teenage boys, sure is a thing.
They believe in nothing but obtaining power.

Imagine being in charge of.a project where a million small, but vital things are mintained by unpaid volunteers who are often neurodivergent, LGBTQ+ or both and thinking 'yeah, I'll open the door for people who are making their lives worse and let them add slop to the project that will make the tasks they do voluntarily so much harder, and if they complain, I'll tap the 'Capital G Gamers' sign to show the SJWs whose side I am on! That'll show them!'

They were against exploitation, ultimately,, and that gets ignored entirely by the culture because history is written by the victors. Fortunately as more and more people find themselves staring at the child crushing engines of the present day, they're beginning to actually look back at the luddites and realise they have a point...
Naturally the AI bros are horrified by this as their favourite insult is losing it's sting, and are pushing the only way they can, writing long, angry substacks about how the luddites were bad actually, exploitation of workers and children downplayed or ignored entirely.

https://www.geekwire.com/2026/microsoft-announces-2-5b-frontier-company-to-embed-ai-engineers-inside-customers/ you know when a dying, virus infected cell starts to bulge before the membrane splits, releasing more virii to go infect other cells? We're at that stage with AI now, first with anthropic sending out kids to act like Mormon missionaries, now this.

I was going to jokingly suggest someone make a tech startup dedicated to doing for keycaps and switches what AI and Crypto did to graphics cards and RAM, then I remembered the techie bumholes buying vintage tech to 'salvage' the vintage keyswitches from working retro computers and keyboards. They're already ruining things without my help.

https://www.theguardian.com/film/2026/jun/03/martin-scorsese-accused-of-throwing-artists-under-bus-with-ai-storyboards Amazing how rich people who don't have to worry about losing their livelihoods continue not to value the contributions of people whose work they cannot do like storyboard and VFX artists, and view them as entirely replaceable cogs in the machine to produce 'their vision'.

The machine can't 'get it wrong' when you view civilian casualties as a bonus and as part of your wider goal. All the machine does is provide a figleaf to help give people who want to make excuses for genocide something to glom onto and point at when they claim the deaths weren't an intentional choice just down to flawed tech.
Who made and sold the tech to kill people knowing it was flawed?
Who knowingly deployed the tech to kill people knowing it was flawed?
Doesn't matter, it was the tech's fault, no further action needed. No blood on anyone's hands, just that bad AI again. Nothing to be done.

I kind of suspect the loud voices frustrated at Mastodon and declaring it dead or an echo chamber are doing so because they cannot find a way to rig the system in their favour or at to win like Twitter.

A platform's success is now measured by the tech press in terms of exponential growth only. If you don't double or quadruple in size every year, you're doomed, dying or already dead. Stable isn't enough, even for things not designed to be for profit.

Centralising everything for convenience was a horrendous mistake and led to large chunks ofnthe web endinf up the fiefdoms of absolute sociopaths like Dorsey, Spez, Zuckerberg and the willing funder of Nazis over at Substack. Why should anyone visit a site when every update is on Twitter first and all community discussion buried on discord and reddit?
I want a decentralised livejournal, complete with goat mascot and the ability to make my page funky pastel colours, damnit!
