@nprofile…mrsm I played with her in circuit, but haven't farmed her yet. She is fun, but IDK about "OP", tbh. For one, her summons don't even work with summon stuff. Also, her passive depends on having walls that are worth sticking to nearby.
But yeah, she is pretty fun to play with, and honestly IDK if I'd want to Helminth away any of her abilities.

That self hosted email is absurdly complex and impossible to do? Also true. There is a bunch of shit about signed certs and shit like that that are very hard and time consuming to get and, ultimately, big email hosts (which are what 99% of people use) will simply refuse to receive your email.

It is a regular touchscreen that uses a DP port and USB connection for the touch input, so it should be recognized as a regular HID, I recon it should be easy to make it work in Linux and use it to display shit.

Right. So Iḿ wanting to splurge for a Hyte Y70 Touch Infinite case for my PC, spending a ton of money because the case is pretty and it has a stupid and gimmicky feature that will certainly be a chore to make it work on Linux, but I don't care.
The thing is, my setup is "white" (in the sense my peripherals and case are white, but I couldn't be really bothered in getting a white mainboard or GPU). Like the first image.
I have found out, however, that the Hyte Y70 has, besides the "Snow White" option (second picture) a "Panda" option, that is white on the outside but has a black interior.
I guess that, considering that getting white components is a chore, the Panda one would be the more aesthetic choice, right?

They are a bit of a "progressive shitlib company" (as are they all), so I assume that if you show your power level right in front of them in social media/forums/whatever with an account that is easily linked with your Warframe account they may ban you, yeah.
But whatever, it's not like I interact with the community or anything like that, I just explode stuff while looking at freaky sexy organic robots.
If you are talking about "banning due to technical reasons/anti cheat/whatever", I also don't think that's the case. I play on Linux normally, and can change my Proton Prefix whenever I want without worries.

@nprofile…9j4q The good thing about Warframe is that technically you don't need to spend anything really. The Prime Warframes are easily farmable or traded with other players.
But still, every time they release a Prime pack of a Frame I like, like Protealast year, I just casually go and drop 100+ bucks to get the complete pack with everything.
Thankfully, according to the release prediction, I'll probably over a year without Primes I like, until Citrine comes at the end of 2026.
They predict wolf mommy is coming february/march 2026, but I'm not that interested in her,,,

Yareli Prime (my oshi frame) was released in Warframe today, alongside a pretty expensive pack with exclusive cosmetics. You can still get the frame for free by farming it, the only thing you need to pay for are the cosmetics.
Damn, I'm glad I play a completely f2p game that has no p2w or gacha elements whatsoever so I never fall into any trap of paying more than I would pay for a AAA game just to have a cosmetics pack...

We have been dealing with a 107% import taxes since forever, which started to be extremely enforced by the current government for purchases from the Chinese sites, and they completely removed our paltry $50 duty-free rule.
It not only reduced the importing to almost 0, but it also made our mail system (which is state owned) start having financial problems because the amount of parcels and deliveries obviously also reduced.
Those have been some very interesting 12 months or so.

Plus, I got away with it in 13th Age because the character was basically a loli lich, the DM would never let me play as a loli in Warhammer 40k.

Shit like the wars on the frontlines are better left for the wargame, I can't understand how people play a campaign in these.
In Dark Heresy you play inside the Imperium, far away from the war, and you deal with the mundane problems of cultists and whatnot. It's pretty cool.
And yes, it's still pretty deadly. Right at the first session our Psyker destroyed a Chaos artifact and the blast gave Corruption points to everyone (I got Insanity instead, because the Adepta Sororitas special power is not getting corrupted and gaining Insanity in place of it).

I started playing a Warhammer 40K Dark Heresy campaign last night (in Dark Heresy the players are conscripts working for an Inquisitor, investigating possible heresy and shit like that).
Since my friends already jumped in front of me and picked the cool stuff like Sanctioned Psyker and Adeptus Mechanicus, I decided to go full homo and play an Adepta Sororitas, so I can keep screaming about my devotion to the Emperor while cleansing everything with holy fire.

I installed a new air conditioning unit today.
The installation made a complete mess of my room that I wasn't really willing to clean by myself.
I hired a cleaning maid for today.
She did a good job.

@nprofile…k4kl Although this is not true, a quick dive into the history of the Gregorian Calendar provided a bunch of interesting tidbits.
- The Julian calendar was replaced because it overestimated the duration of the year by a few minutes, which resulted in a drift of about a day each century. In the over 1500 years in between the institution of the Julian calendar and Pope Gregory XIII proposal of a new calendar, important days like the equinoxes and change of seasons drifted 10 days from their original dates.
- The Gregorian calendar also overestimates the year duration a bit, but way less than the Julian calendar, and it's impossible to solve it with a simple rule because the year's duration is very stupid (365 years, 5 hours, 49 minutes). Still, the Gregorian calendar is an elegant proposal that will have a day shift about once every 2000 years or so.
- When he instituted the new calendar, which probably is the origin of the story in the image, he decreed a 10 day skip in October 1582. The calendar would skip from October 4th straight to October 15th. And this decision was not popular with people, because they said the "Pope was going to steal them a week and a half of rent".
- The Protestants and the Eastern Orthodox are retards who refused to use the improved calendar and kept having wrong dates for everything for 300 years, until they caved in.
- I also find it very interesting because stuff like finding out that the year doesn't take exactly 365 days and 6 hours, and also some slight reforms Pope Gregory made to the Lunar calendar are things that require scientific method (his reforms to the Lunar calendar was because it was not exactly synched to the astronomical cycles of the moon), which shows that, opposite to what detractors say, the Catholic Church on the 16th century was not only accepting, but also making use of scientific ideas,
