I enjoy running GrapheneOS on my Pixel 8 but I really wish we would see mobile devices running mainline Linux become normal. So far I've been lucky enough that the apps to my Credit Union, all my credit cards, PayPal & Affirm all work without having Google apps & services installed. But once those stop working and require Google services I'll be using their websites, at the point GrapheneOS has nothing over mobile Linux.

Damn, I must say that I am pretty impressed with myself. I bought my daughter some soap making supplies and played we played around with it a bit. I made myself a few bars of soap with a few essential oils and course ground coffee. That got me thinking about making fragrances. An assortment of oils, perfumers alcohol and refillable perfume bottles and I now have made 3 EDP's that smell very similar to 1million, Green Irish Tweed & an Eros/Coolwater. I've worn only these for the past 3 weeks and have been complemented and they last an entire 8+ hour shift at work.

The thing is, you have no expectation of privacy on public streets, outdoors or anywhere that can be seen from a public place. If somebody stands on the sidewalk and can look into your home through a window, you'd have a difficult time having the authorities do anything about it. That said, anybody using these types of cameras for surveillance has already chosen stupidly. On site storage or a server you control is all that should be used.

That's the annoying part, working and watching others play on their phones all day while being paid anywhere close to what I make. But I'm going to humor going in at 4:30am for about a month before I make it known I get my normal shift back or he needs to find and train a replacement. Pretty sure he realizes nobody else knows how to program any of the systems used in the store and that I'm the only one who bothers breaking down and cleaning all the fryers, grills, etc. And he certainly has realized beingy boss and landlord doesn't make him immune to me speaking my mind.

I "lost" my job at the shop downstairs after getting annoyed none of the 5 people (with the exception of one) seemed to ever do their jobs. Management didn't do anything about it so I went to the owner and it resulted in me getting pretty upset and raising my voice a bit at him. Lasted less than a week and he asked me back but switched me to morning instead of closing. And wouldn't you know it, I open and now none of the closing tasks are done. I like the owner, he's my landlord as well but what I dislike is 5 people failing to do what I manage to do by myself most of the time. And I very much get frustrated when it comes to food and people failing to be clean and sanitary about serving and preparing it. Not looking to get rich at home, just a little play money would be nice.

I fucking swear I live in Twilight Zone. I go into work 9 hours after the place has been open and constantly find spoiled food, dirty dishes mixed into the clean ones and other problems. I've brought this to the attention of "management" on numerous occasions that people are not doing their jobs correctly, and absolutely nothing has been done about it. So I mentioned it to the owner who becomes upset with me for "attacking everybody". Exchanged some words and he got his feelings hurt, now I'm fired. Well fuck you too pal, wait until somebody down there ends up sick from items you're having served to customers. Mind you I do EVERYTHING there because not only did I do my job but I had to do the jobs of others and pick up their slack before I could even begin my work. Thanks for looking into this. Unrelated question/request, have you considered adding support for NWC so that zaps can be sent from a Fountain wallet from other apps? Receiving works but I went to zap this response and realized sending doesn't seem possible outside of the Fountain app itself, which of course makes sense given the point of the app.

My niceness towards people, sometimes feels like a curse. I've got a friend and coworker who is a veteran and has been in a relationship for 10 years and is leaving because she has been cheating. She has 2 children that are not his but being a good man, he's leaving all of his property but his clothes so that they don't go without. He's moving in above me and doesn't know it, but I plan to get him everything I possibly can. Recently paid off my credit card debts and going to rack them right back up again. I'm pretty sure GrapheneOS plans to have GUI Linux applications via the terminal app. I probably wouldn't go with a Pixel 3a but I've been considering picking up a users OnePlus 6/6T. The Poco doesn't work well in the US due to not having all the needed bands. I also have an LG G7 ThinQ which has some support and a SOC that is mainlined. Even being older devices, they still run well enough to be daily dricers, IMO.

Devices like the Pixel 3a(xl), OnePlus 6(t) and others are able to run Linux and have mainlined kernels. Pixels do have a Linux terminal but it's not useful (yet) if you want to run GUI applications. I have a Poco X3 NFC that currently runs PostmarketOS and I have both GNOME and PHOSH for DE's. If you prefer KDE/Plasma, you can do that as well. Lots of Plasma and GTK apps work on mobile. I run GrapheneOS on my Pixel 8 but I'd replace that with a full Linux distro in a heartbeat if I was able to. You have convergence with Linux distros as well, assuming the device has output. Termux is a better option vs the Terminal app currently in Android.

Normally I don't mind working here but she was making my blood boil. I enjoy cooking, have known and been friends with most of the other employees that work here (they all live within a 5 minute walk) and live above the shop myself. So it's a convenient place to work and the job isn't difficult. Occasionally running the store alone gets hectic tho. One of the benefits of living in the building, I'm one of the first people to get called in to cover call outs.

Some people feel they are pretty entitled. Working alone last night (the entire market, register, kitchen, etc.) and a woman comes in asking for a burger, fries and a few other things. I told her it would be 45 minutes to an hour wait as I have about 12 pizzas going, numerous steak & cheese, etc and that I need to get all of these orders out first. Gave me attitude I wouldn't put everything on hold to make her order first, using the old "I come here all the time". That's lovely, I don't care. She then asked for a sandwich and I again had to tell her, I can make that as soon as I finish fixing these orders, it'll be about 45 minutes or you can get a premade sandwich from the case. After hobbling over and getting a ready made sandwich she slams it onto the counter saying "I want it cut in half". Told her all the foot long subs are already cut in half. Response? "I want it opened up and each half wrapped individually". I finally had to raise my voice and explain I didn't have time for dicking off. Open it when you get home, eat half & wrap the other half back up. Also, do not come back between 2-10 o'clock. I don't make enough to deal with such stupid.
