A/ it's the next coming of Christ, just deploy it everywhere, and if it has any issues those will be fixed with the next update anyway

As a European investor I started diversifying my investments away from US securities because even beyond moral considerations I see 2 major risk factors:
- Will business thrive in a country if it gives up all semblance of the rule of law and fair competition? If the US becomes an oligarchy like Russia, can it remain innovative?
- Will my property rights in US securities be respected as a foreigner if my country is in conflict with the US?

Damn, while biking to the studio I was looking at a car to make sure it didn't drive in front of me and I missed a lady who decided to cross the zebra ... so I rode into her. Thankfully just a light bounce, no damage and she just walked away after some well deserved yelling at me. But I just... didn't see her at all even though I know this zebra well and always make sure to not be an asshole to pedestrians.
Not even sure what conclusion to draw because I was paying attention, normal speed etc.

I've lately been quite obsessed with this app called StreetComplete. It gamifies contributing to OpenStreetMaps in a really nice way by giving you you little quests to do while you walk around. A fun way to get some steps in, to make you look closer at your environment and to do a good thing!

I recently talked with a guy who builds software for small & medium sized German insurance firms and he says almost all of their clients are working on removing US services from their tech stack due to perceiving them as highly risky. This includes cloud services, office tools, AI tools, etc. So far he said the switch is a mixed bag with some successes and some blunders, but the push is very clear.
Highly anecdotal stuff, but maybe this cut is deeper than I expected.

My superpower is that I'm a tech youtuber with very little desire to upgrade my tech. As one example, I have been using these random USB speakers I found literally on the street discarded for about 5 years now. The probably cost, like 20 bucks a decade ago and still work great 😁

I really thought the previous drama around MKBHD's wallpaper app was overblown. It's a weirly overprice app, weirdly announced, but ... so what? Just don't buy it!
But this is truly midboggling. He filmed himself in a Lamborghini going 96mph in a 35mph school zone. WTF? How did he think that was ok?

We're so accustomed to prices always increasing that we forget that much of software should actually get CHEAPER over time.
Cloud costs are going down and companies often have less new stuff to add, hence lower development costs. Also, as they get more customers, they can spread those fixed costs out more.
Instead we get increases because we're trapped & can't switch.

Israel is now deliberately shooting at UN peacekeepers whose job is to document potential war crimes among other things. Despite this, Israel still gets support from countries like Germany while the US has even sent its own troops to defend the country.
Meanwhile the US and Germany think that allowing Ukraine to use weapons they supply against military targets in a country that is actively bombing it is unacceptable escalation.
What a weird, twisted world.

Just had an issue with one of my Fairbuds not working. Took it apart in 15 seconds with no tools, popped the battery out and in again and it's fixed.
