There is a bug in krita 6.0.1
You select any two layers
Copy them and then paste
I'm not sure if Krita should be able to copy and paste two layers at once, but it certainly shouldn't consume the entirety of your ram and then crash.

If when someone being cruel to you, you start crying, screeching and calling that person evil - it's a normal human response.
If you instead think "eh, another one. Nothing of this is surprising. I should avoid overreacting, it only makes the problem worse" - congratulations, your psyche is cooked ☠️

I hate sports.
It is pointless and boring.
It's fairly obvious for sports based on human physical ability, like light athletics or boxing, because at the end of the day, the winner is defined by genetics and training programs that are more or less the same for everyone.
There is no place for creative problem solving here, only gay ass "fair competition". If you discover a drug that makes you two times stronger, you gonna be banned. You can't implant a gun in your hand to shoot your opponent, you gonna be banned (and put in jail).
Motorsports seems to be better in that regard at the first glance.
The whole point of it is a team of engineers inventing creative, mad devices, which is fun to watch.
Until you realize that every time some F1 team invents a new cool and smart feature that makes their car different from others, IT GETS BANNED.
After application of all FIA regulations, F1 cars are essentially the same car.
Honest and fair sports competition is inherently dead boring, and i hate it.
But i like cheating. Cheating and rule breaking is where all the interesting, creative solutions come into play.
The very nature of cheating and bypassing the rules demands two things:
a) do something illegal
b) somehow brainwash everybody else that you never did that!
You can't accomplish these tasks by just training harder; you have to think and come up with solutions that are novel and often really weird, and that is very interesting to follow.

The description of image made by gemini:
This is a whimsical and somewhat chaotic cartoon drawing! Here's a description:
The image features a character that appears to be a stylized, somewhat anthropomorphic creature. It has a greyish-brown body with long, thin limbs. One leg is bent as if in mid-stride, and it's wearing a red shoe.
The character's head is topped with a large, fiery mane of orange and red, resembling flames. There's a smaller, separate face within the flames, looking surprised. The character itself has large, wide eyes and is holding a small, rectangular object (perhaps a tablet or a book) in one hand. A few small, round objects are flying off from the fiery mane.
The overall style is very loose and sketch-like, with thick black outlines and simple coloring. It has a playful, energetic vibe. It feels like a character from a quirky animated story.

Apparently, many warhammer fans are genuinely shocked by the concept of daemonculaba when they find out about it.
In a nutshell:
The daemonculaba is a creation of the iron warriors and the dark mechanicum designed to produce new chaos space marines.
Essentially, it's an absurdly fat female slave. To create a space marine, a 12-year-old boy is placed in her uterus and gene seed is injected. After a couple days, a new iron warrior emerges. Unfortunately, the newborn space marine has no skin, so you must flay a very fat person to obtain skin for the transplant.
That's it, the daemonculaba.
As someone familiar with the pony/furry fandom, none of this is particularly shocking to me. This isn't even close to the most messed up thing pony fags were jerking off to.

I have an impression that the need for some free temporary s3-compatible storage arises quite often.
For example, you might want to upload an image for three minutes to transfer it somewhere that requires a link and/or s3, and then delete it.
Opening an account on any cloud platform just for that feels like shooting sparrows with a helicopter chaingun.
There are free image hostings, but they aren't s3 compatible, and are often human-centric. So no automatic uploads (or paid automatic uploads), extreme rate limits and other stuff like that.

Naaaaaaaah, nah, they don't, if you ask a magatard why any of those people were killed, maggers would respond with something like "they are all illegal rapists and/or assaulted law enforcement agents". And if you say that there is no evidence of that, in the best case they will dump on you a bunch of completely false claims, in the worst case they will decide that you are a part of the conspiracy.
Taking the L and reflecting on your behavior, who you are, what you want and what are we doing here requires a level of intelligence and self awareness that the woke crowd never possessed, despite the count of educated people among them. The average magatard is at least 20iq points dumber than the average leftist. It's fascinating how stupid these people are.

Yep, it's the sad part. Sometimes, fans say dumb things, because they don't understand your vision, demand decisions that are practically impossible to implement, subjectively dislike your otherwise legit work, turn media criticism into wacky political activism, etc.
There is a virtue in ignoring that kind of people and doing what you think is right.
Bethesda has no vision. It's one thing if they genuinely wanted to make fallout less grimdark and more wacky, goofy and colorful, and with that new direction in mind, were writing consistent lore and characters. Bethesda doesn't do any of that, and i think the humorous and absurd tone of new fallout installations is just a byproduct of their low effort writing and worldbuilding.
They've justified the screeching of every hyperideological lore purist nitpicker, they all now sound like common sense people.

One of Perturabo's most well known characteristics is his hatred for Rogal Dorn. Their quarrels were equivalent to the typical sibling rivalry: while Dorn was Daddy's Golden boy, Perturabo served as the incredibly envious brother who just wants to tear his brother limb from limb. Another reason why he was envious of Dorn was due to Perturabo considering himself an architect and builder but left to destroy everything instead while Dorn did what Perturabo wanted to be doing.
<...>
This strained relationship was far, far worse on Perturabo's end than on Dorn's. Dorn apparently thought, for the majority of the Crusade, that his rivalry with Perturabo was a professional one, whereas Perturabo just straight up despised Dorn. Dorn and Perturabo were both completely retarded when it came to social matters however. As such, Dorn seemingly just didn't catch on to the fact that Perturabo hated him so much, and Perturabo never actually confronted Dorn about it at any point.

THE HARSH TRUTH:
Not every idea of the bethesda writers is fundamentally and irredeemably fucked up.
The problem is that they are either unable or unwilling to explore these ideas with the proper depth, severity and lore implications.
Take fallout3, for example.
Is it plausible that the capital wasteland has a water crisis? Yes. Add water barons and a water-based economy (e.g., using clean water bottles as currency instead of caps). Add a reason why the capital wasteland has uniquely terrible natural water sources compared to the west coast.
Is it plausible that a bunch of rich people live isolated in tenpenny tower? Yes. They could be water barons who were initially vault dwellers and used the G.E.C.K. to build their own mini water purifier.
Is it plausible that there is a militarized group of knights in shining armor that defend wastelanders from threats? Yes. Just don't call them the brotherhood of steel, and make power armor less common.
I find certain things in f3 indefensible, such as the abundance of super mutants on the streets, and the enclave. Supermutants are a post-war genetic engineering development by one person on the west coast; they are unique to mariposa. The enclave was also unique to one oil platform that exploded at the end of f2.
Some minor locations, such as a city populated only by children, are also indefensible.
However, i believe that you can take a couple of good writers and make sense of f3 while keeping the major plot points and ideas.

2026-01-12 11:48:16 UTC

The idea that lived in my head rent-free for some time:
I really don't like fallout show in general, it doesn't respect the lore of original gaems, it doesn't respect the lore of Bethesda's own gaems, it doesn't respect itself and its fans.
There are multiple hour-long videos explaining how terrible it is.
That said, i find the idea of an anti-feral drug for ghouls interesting. It received a lot of criticism, as well as literally everything else in this show. Apparently, in the show, ghouls are supposed to take this drug from day one to avoid becoming feral, which makes a lot of previously established lore invalid.
But i have another idea.
We should treat ghoul feralization like cancer. This means that the process is
a) non-instantaneous and somewhat predictable
b) non-universal and depends on many factors
You could get cancer at five years old, or you could live your entire life and die at ninety without ever getting cancer.
If you are diagnosed with cancer at 30, you can live a fairly long life with proper treatment.
Keeping that logic in mind, we can make the following determination:
Ghouls can go feral on day one, after a hundred years, or they can live perfectly fine for over two hundred years.
Ghouls can sense when feralization begins or be diagnosed with feralization syndrome.
This explains why there are sentient ghouls in the fallout universe who haven't used medicine for decades and are still fine.
At some point, a faction launched a research program to develop an anti-feral drug for ghouls because of reasons.
For example, it could be vault city from fallout 2.
We can canonize the collaboration ending of gecko quest; therefore, vault city will need ghouls from gecko to run the reactor and provide power. Due to the high level of radiation, only ghouls can operate this station. If all the ghouls in gecko turned into retarded zombies, they wouldn't be able to run the reactor anymore. So, here it is: people with the intellectual capacity to develop such a drug AND a plausible motivation to do so.
(But we can create a new faction if we want)
The result of all this mental gymnastics is what i find an interesting expansion of fallout ghoul lore. You could write a whole ass game around this concept.

I have the impression that watercolor imitation in krita is a bigger pain in the butt than the watercolor itself.

We live in a world of cgroups, systemd and docker (which uses cgroups to manage limits), until your post i didn't even know this file existed 🤷‍♀️

Not only systemd, every process started without user authentication will ignore it. That means, services started by any other init system will ignore it too.

I really don't like math formulas in papers. These notations turn very simple functions that could be coded by a 10 year old into absolutely horrific necromancy spells.
But they are used for reasons i guess, so i have to get used to them.

Proof of work captchas are actually genius.
Captchas supposed to do one thing, that is to make it easy for legit users to access the service and deny it to botnets.
Historically developers used visual riddles for that. But since deep learning algorithms and language models started to get more and more advanced, captchas start getting more and more annoying and complicated, until they become essentially anti-human.
It is much easier to create an ai agent that will automatically solve captchas than force users to waste their cognitive power on these multi-stage puzzle games. You probably remember a couple of occasions where you were opening a random link from search results and closing it immediately because it asked you to select all crosswalks.
Proof of work captcha doesn't require you to do that, you just have to wait for 30 seconds or so. Bots can access the website too, but they will be naturally throttled.

I was using arch linux with plasma on gaming laptops for years with no problems. All gaming laptops naturally have two gpus, discrete and integrated, so the user interface is running on integrated gpu in most cases. I therefore avoided nvidia moments. Now, i have a desktop with only nvidia gpu. I own this pc for not that long, but i already encountered a weird, random, unfixable bug.
What the fuck is this shit...

I didn't even watch avatar2, but this movie lives in my head rent free for some time. How could the movie this big and successful be so empty and basic in its narrative? It's genuinely fascinating, it's like a meta-storytelling. Characters in story don't matter, but movie itself is an interesting character that is fun to think and learn about.

Text rendering in capabilities in image generators is a completely useless feature.
Good font quality is very difficult to achieve, it requires a huge model and a special dataset, all derivative models trained by community always drop the support for it. On top of that, adding fancy text to your image using whatever image editor has always been very easy.

Мне кажется, большинство подсоединенных к реальности, более-менее психически нормальных людей мыслят в подобном ключе. "Я не более особенный чем большинство других людей, not great, not terrible, таких как я много".
Только чудилам с психическими расстройствами кажется будто они радикально выдающиеся, в хорошем смысле или в дурном.

James Cameron is one of the most techno-progressive filmmakers. Every time he makes a movie, he unveils new crazy CGI tricks that look awesome.
It's kind of weird that he has devoted so much of his effort to this poorly written decel slop where humans are evil because they have robots and spaceships and blue furries are good because they don't.
