Nice one with the new verse - the residual mediaevalist in me liked the one you took out, relating to Geoffrey of Monmouth rather than/as well as the classics (and IMHO just natural cultural milieu for Kipling given his background rather than showing away or trying to be highbrow), but I get the desire to make & benefit of the change: it works :-)

I’ll be interested in how this plays out, given how much money it would take in rural areas to do it half properly… hopefully they don’t intend to push change on us without adequate funding and then leave cash-strapped local authorities to take the blame. Fortunately central government doesn’t have any form in that department at all…
