@npub1rh0…sjsf This one is harder than I'm prepared to deal with at 03:30. There are people much better at this than I, that would have had it sooner.
You may have given me a red herring with the Cayuna hashtag, since I've ruled out most of the lakes around there.

@npub1rh0…sjsf More seriously, having seen how crazy good at geolocating photos some people are, I've taken to always assuming any photo I post can be geolocated, even with the location data stripped our. So I just pretend all my photos have the location embedded, and use that as part of my decision to post.

@npub1rh0…sjsf I'm pretty confident of the line you were on. My only question was whether this was shot with the wide angle or mild telephoto lens. If I really wanted to be precise I'd print it and that calipers and protractors to it, but I'll just eyeball it an guess you were pretty much on the line segment running north from the building in the forground, about where it intersects the shoreline of the unnamed body of water behind the drone.

@npub1rh0…sjsf If you must know, my first stop was Apple Maps. I didn't need a second stop. :)
Bellingcat (They went from Twitter to Bluesky, mostly) occassionally does explainers or challenges for geolocating photos that are a lot harder than this.

@npub1rh0…sjsf The obvious answer would be Deerwood, but it's so obvious that I suspected a trick question. I geolocated the photo, and it is Deerwood. Your drone was just east of Archibald Rd (Rt 6 and 210). Reno Lake is in the background of the picture, and the much larger Serpent Lake is just off frame to the right (west).
