I want more people to learn how to use these tools on their own hardware because that is essentially what all these websites that charge "compute cycles" are doing. But they just fine tune it to look the way it does. And there's so many models out there that are free & open source for anyone to use & create with that can offer way better results than what's offered for Paid. @npub1ptm…6rn8 And what I'd teach is for people to use stuff on their own PCs, so there isn't any learning or tracking. Currently the AI that you can use on your own PC doesn't learn from you. Its not designed to. It can't rewrite its own model or code. That's what things like OpenAI does with ChatGPT. Offline Local Models are just like a premade, very complicated program. You can have it learn, but it takes a lot more software to do so.

Build a PC, run Linux, run free & open source. From there, learn, build your own Linux distro, create your own workflows, build build build. Share & Teach. It pushes you to do alot of cognitive thinking, something schools no longer teach. This is merely a tool, just like Photoshop but it can do so much more. And since I'm using it locally & with all free & open source software, I can create my own narrative & models. I am in control of my own experience. So can you.

And it really helps in understanding & seeing what pictures are fake and what are real, especially with more and more people doing it. It’s like learning Photoshop or using a Paintbrush. It’s another tool to learn. But I’d like more people to not be bound by big tech companies & their rules, biases, fees, gatekeeping. Just for those interested.

What do yall think about AI & AI art? Would you like to run it on your own PC? No needing to wait in line to borrow compute time from Midjourney or Pika or DALLE or any other online service. It’s not that hard now and is cross platform. You will need a pretty good GPU for speedy generation, higher VRAM the better. I have a 3080Ti with 12 GB VRAM and it runs fantastic. If you’d like to do this too, I’ll show you how I did. Good project for me to learn website building & full stack development.

@npub1kpw…xzz4 I've been in San Francisco my whole life and Transgender was never used until now. There's even a "Transgender District" in the Tenderloin. Though it makes me wonder why that is since there's also the Castro, which is supposedly the LGBTQIAAP capitol of the world. The word Transsexual has been subsumed by Gender. Also, when did the surgery go from sexual reassignment surgery to gender affirming surgery? You say they're interchangable but it seems the former, as I said, has disappeared.

The art generators are all based on StableDiffusion, which is the model. You can download more at www.CivitAi.com, all free. I use ComfyUI as the interface, it's very powerful but takes learning & playing around, very open to customize. You can also install just the base SDXL, which is their UI. Automatic1111 & Fooocus are also great & easy to use.

I made this by combining a bunch of generations on my PC using 1 model & generating it via changing different variables. Even had AI put them together into a GIF. The fingers thing was fixed a long time ago in the Open Source community
