I mean, he's technically only supposed to /manage the day to day operations/ of things the congress turns on/off.
he was never supposed to be able to turn stuff on/off,
but a lot of recent presidential power and court precedent (through executive orders) was an expansion of presidents in the past saying "ugh, this is taking forever to enshrine in law or start a department's duties by law, what if I just say it's official?"

I mean.....
this kinda sounds like saying "technology is amoral" when technology definitely is political and takes a stance
just, the stance FSF and OSI took is "let amazon continue to centralize while benefiting on open source"
I don't necessarily love the "don't sell it as a service" licenses that cockroach & elastic used, but they had a reason.
a big, mammoth, elephant in the room, reason
and guess what, it's nearly black friday,
so quite... apt that the elephant be in the room.
AGPL is pretty damn cool.
I would like an anti-amazon license, though.
"you can use this code for your commercial project, but if your revenue is over X billion, your software becomes AGPL"

I saw someone say "why try building another closed network and bootstrapping a user base, when you can just use the existing large pool of users"
Now, that said, how much a new AP app can be understood by, or interacted with, on legacy apps like mastodon, or whether you need a new username for each kind of app... Is something different.
