The folks who show up to protest data centers aren't going to go for that latency bullshit excuse.
There's also no bloody reason they can't obtain existing brownfield space -- shopping malls here are a perfect example, most dead/dying -- and ensure they are solar powered if they MUST build something at all.
But no -- they piss off rural voters and property owners with insisting on building on undeveloped ag land while not ensuring electricity self-sufficiency.

Patreon worked great for me! My bank didn't freak out like it has with Ko-fi and PayPal; now I can easily send you a monthly payment.
Is there any chance you can set up a one-time payment option in Patreon in addition to the subscription levels? I'd like to send a lump sum to catch up for the last several months my bank was such a nuisance. Thanks!

I had wondered if Stuxnet was the origin of your username, thanks for the confirmation.
Stuxnet was an example of counter proliferation action requiring no kinetic warfare. It's what we should have stuck with because it clearly worked.

Thanks, stux, fully support you. I had filtered Threads accounts and blocked the domain but this makes it more reliable. I don't want Meta harvesting my personal info or posts because a Threads account crossed the streams.
It's not as if folks can't go to Threads and follow accounts there by other methods.
