I recommend [@e_mydata](https://mastodon.social/@e_mydata ) as Phone OS. It doesn't have AndroidAuto OOTB. As it's actually not AndroidAuto but GoogleAuto which doesn't work with the microG implememtation of /e/OS ...
It has it's drawbacks but also its benefits 🙈

That is the actual cool thing with AI/LLM: People need to document all the shit. So the AI has context.
It's sad though that only now, after decades of developers begging for it, people get actually time paid to document things, make plans, estimate etc....
It'S not that that wasn't known before. It just was ignored. Only now, that machines need it, it becomes a requirement 😡

I meant the german "Quark". Some dictionary translated it to "Curd" but I am not sure that is exactly what I meant. Cottage Cheese sounds also like a good alternative . though that's - at least here in germany - got a more grainy texture 🙈

Ah! I was setting them directly in the `redis.conf` file.
It might be that that causes some chars not to work?
Redis version is 5:6.0.16-1ubuntu1.1

It just took me an hour to understand that redis does not like special chars in an ACLs password... I assume it was the `*` - Some kind of hint in the docs would be appreciated!

Took me a while to understand that you are using the MXs from the hosting....
Some years ago I actually set up my own mailserver to handle all those different domains properly. Also I was annoyed by my hoster at the time.
I'd never want to go back. Adding a new domain is complex enough to think about it twice but easy enough to just do it.
But that is only something for people that are into ops!!! Here be dragons!!!

I took the time to update https://packagist.org/packages/stella-maris/nist-password to the latest version of the NIST specs regarding passwords. It's now also tested on PHP8.1 through PHP8.5
If you are looking for a library to make sure your passwords are compliant to the latest security rules, this might be for you.
Feel free to open an issue when you're missing something.

I am just not sure this is really worth the effort TBH....
When the originla author needs to approve the embedding that can take quite some time and when it is done, it's already out of my timeline....

Hm... According to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spent_nuclear_fuel Spent nuclear fuel has a half life of up to 24,000 years. Even if it is ony 1% of that It'd be 240 years.
Which means that after 240 years still 50% of the radiation is "there". Even then, it'd take a lot more time until "99.99% of the radioactivity is gone".... 3189 years if i calculated correctly.
Imagine Moses had left some of that waste when they fled from egypt, about now "99.99% of the radioactivity" would be gone...

Whats wrong with cellphones?
We live in an area where data-coverage is not.given everywhere. Mobile phone coverage is much better (still not 100% though). So our kids had a cellphone very early on. Yes! They could call or send simple SMS only.
For our use-case - reach someone should something go south - that was totally acceptable.
Plans were affordable, phones were affordable.

I literally studied STEAM (Biology, Chemistry, wood- and wood-product-usage, wood-Engineering, history, politics, national- and business-economics, statistics, programming amongst others) and one of the things that I use most as a software-developer is the "A" aspect.
Figuring out what the user wants, what they need. Being able to switch context, "language" (techie, end-user etc) and most important of all - getting to know what needs knowing in a really short amount of time.

I have found several instructions after searching the web for "pixelfed docker" and all started with "Check out the pixelfed code from github"....
And checking i.e. docker-hub for images brought up a similar list of "images" that all required to checkout the code. I assume they are all based on the docker subfolder in the pixelfed sourcecode....

Yes. But you can also use.... something else....
I'd need to.git.my kids microbits out to say more.
They already have the LEDs and some other gadgets on board. That's the main benefit over an arduino.
But they are much more limited if you want to go beyond.
IMO great as an easy intro. And the next step would then be arduino....
