Most popular Bitcoin "Influencers" are NGU Degenerates. I suspect think they are paid by Bankers to be so.
I used to be personal friends with Richard Grove and Jan Irvin who were Conspiracy Influencers back in the 00's. They told me privately they were constantly offered big-time "donations" if they would modify their message.
Bitcoin is compromised. I put the .mp3 of this Batten podcast on my phone for later , and beg you to listen to this one, which describes how compromised BTC is...

Same with Nostr. The barrier to entry of learning basic key management is just slightly high enough to prevent idiots from flooding in. This results in a MUCH higher signal-to-noise ratio, and overall higher quality content.

Heck no. Gab ins now the the bank debit card and CC merchant account business. See: https://www.gabpay.info/faq They get like 1.5% of everything they run through them. That is why Torba deleted his "we're looking into it" reply to my request they integrate Monero.

I believe things are in a state of flux as security and privacy-minded people re-adjust to the new reality wherein attacks with real-world consequences (like getting thrown in prison on false charges) are no longer theoretical.
In the past, such things mostly only happened to high-profile activists like Julian Assange and Edward Snowden. Now it’s happening to normal, everyday people, just like we predicted for years would happen.
Things are getting “real”. People are adjusting.

lol! That is a great analogy.
IMO, Nostr and V4V are still very, VERY early in the development stage.
This is a powerful technology. Implementations are changing rapidly, with much trial-and-error, which is good thing because it promotes survival of the Fittest, and death of the Weak.
Yes things are super-wonky and frustrating now, but I see great potential.
I emailed Adam Curry asking why he hasn't been on Nostr since December. He said he bailed because it was too much trouble to manage right now. I empathize. He and other Content Producers will return after things mature and shake out.

Me too! I attributed this intensely annoying thing to bad settings by whomever encoded the video for torrent distribution. Some upload groups are worse than others for the same movie.
Now I think a big part of that problem is built into the movie because, as you say, the whole Underworld series was one of the worst I've ever seen, like a 40 - 50% volume difference, among files from various upload groups.
Audio compression plug-ins exist which can overcome this, but I haven't had time to mess with installing them in Kodi.
